As Perceptes says, Matrix is designed to have modular transports. So if you want to use MQTT or CoAP or WebSockets or whatever for the client/server API, then go for it :) PRs welcome!
I recently quit Facebook and felt like I'm free(with my time). It is interesting to note that after you order "deletion" your account will remain for 14 days and you could come back. It is like 2 weeks notice period (before quitting the job) which is a standard in united states. I'd still keep using WhatsApp as long as it stays utilitarian and lets me communicate with my people.
It entirely depends on yourself and the type of work you can get. If you're an extroverted type, working in consulting may be a good experience. If you're highly creative but introverted type, you may not enjoy dealing with your client as much. If you're service oriented, you'd enjoy working with a client. If you're product oriented, you may prefer working on purely software/tech side of things!
Looks like people here haven't examined MBTI. Your personality may not be fixed but it takes up to 2 years to change it. 16personalities.com is a good way to test your personality as being one of the 16 types. It takes 10 mins.
The tests are wildly inaccurate, and MBTI itself is not the full story of cognition and personality, but I think there is enough evidence suggesting that the cognitive functions as described by Jung[0] are very real.
The article you linked to uses lack of MBTI in psychology journals as an argument against its validity, but its applications in the field are very limited. You're more likely to find MBTI references in neuroscience journals as there are appears to be clear correlations between type preferences and brain activity patterns[1].
Even so, knowledge of a persons cognitive preferences just isn't very useful. So the main application of MBTI is indeed "just for fun".
The way I would use this test: See each dualism as a continuous dimension. Reflect where I probably fall on each dimension at this time. Think and point out where I would like to fall. Personally I'd prefer to fall on the middle of each dualism. This gives me some hints what in my personality needs to change first if I greedyly want to optimize.
I guess it's time to do away with the web (as it is) and build something entirely 'ephemeral' without that heavy HTTP protocol and 'web pages'. The new thing should be real-time by default and work across web/mobile. Ephemerality is the best way to protect privacy and real-time is the best way to create an amazing experience!
One solution to this problem is making "flipped classroom" a mandatory at all the schools.i.e. students go thru lectures/videos at home and do homework collaboratively in the Classroom. The Real world is more collaborative compared to our schools. Flipped Classroom is proven to increase scores as well. Question: What efforts are you willing to put in making this happen?
> The Real world is more collaborative compared to our schools
People keep saying this. I must be living in a different shard of the real world than those people. Collaboration is nice, but at the end of the day, the work has to actually be done, not just talked about.
Distinguishing between work requiring a heads-down approach and work that can be sped up by collaboration (shared understanding, parallelisable tasks) needs to be learned and school's a good a place to get started on that as any.
