I think it's only possible to understand German politics in two ways: either nobody in politics understands incentives, or they understand incentives much better than the voters and are fully exploiting this fact.

Your kid, it should be noted, has a massively bigger brain than the LLM. I think the surprising thing here maybe isn't that the vision models don't work well in corner cases but that they work at all.
Also my bet would be that video capable models are better at this.

There are! Look through the provider list for some open model on https://openrouter.ai . For instance, DeepSeek 3.1 has a dozen providers. It would not make any sense to offer those below cost because you have neither moat nor branding.
A huge part of the above-water corporate iceberg is the people and your interactions with them, so the company does take on a proxy "emotional signature" based on with whom you interact and the context of the situation. I don't see how a computer program trained on the human knowledge corpus does anything more than parrot observed behaviours without the backing biological systems. Mirroring pretty much the opposite of genuine emotion.
Claude might have an emotional signature that is all cuddly touchy-feely in an abstract, intangible, disembodied way. But.. Anthropic - as a corporation - will still have that deep, dark, insatiable desire to rape your wallet.
Bad news about ISPs... Really you want a RPi on solar power, attached to a longwave transmitter, and with direct peering agreements with all dominant global providers. Most well-connected rpi in existence.
