Someone knows a good software to search a large amount of text pdfs locally? Something like mendeley & zotero?

For MacOS, foxtrot pro is fantastic: http://www.ctmdev.com/foxtrot/

It gives you just enough context preview around your search term to judge if the PDF is useful or not. Currently using with 10k+ research papers and very happy with it.

I personally am a long time fan and user of leap (ironic software) and yep!

SailfishOS isn't dead yet. They are making slow, but steady progress.

It seems that unlike Firefox or Ubuntu's mobile efforts, they are self-aware of their niche status and are focused on expanding with that instead of aiming for mass-market adoption.

TTIP is probably dead as well: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-eu-trade-idUS... Only problem with that is that CETA is still on it's way, so there is still a possibility that the American corporations get what they wanted to have with TTIP.

With Trump wanting to end NAFTA, and CETA having no ISDS but a real court, and Canada being a lot more liberal, I actually don't see much of a threat in CETA.

Because if we let everything to the market we get stuff like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85OysZ_4lp0

Those POV shots [1] of the impact are devastating and telling.

Does somebody know why they changed from mp4 to mkv?

Is there a public whitelist (except the one from ABP) for ad networks which have non invasive, non tracking ads?

Or that they finally fund a project that could replace windows

Given their dysmal track record of funding anything remotely successful and other than ivory tower projects, I wouldn't hope too much.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quaero Or look at Stratosphere/Apache Flink, basically they cloned Spark in much worse for millions of dollars.

Something like ReactOS or Longene would be a feasible target for such efforts. Or even just a commitment to GNU/Linux or one of the BSDs.

Because it is easier to switch a browser then a OS and many just can't switch to linux.

+1 Google already gets enough informations, they don't have to be my standard browser with Chrome.
