There's still better options. You can get a low interest loan against your portfolio. That way, your portfolio is accumulating interest faster than the loan rate. At Merrill Lynch, this is called a LMA, loan management account[1].
I'm not rich, so I'm not sure what other options the wealthy have.

I think the best way is to work at a growing company and show leadership and growth potential. Start completing projects on time and you'll probably get promoted or tasked with additional sr level responsibilities.
If you don't get promoted, you at least have some talking points when leaving at your next interview which can place you in that seniority bracket.
If it's not something you can scope out when the task is brought up, you can specify how much time it would take you to research it in more detail to get an estimate.
