I am sad to read how you have had to experience these horrific scenes of extreme paranoia.

Please, keep spreading the good energy

THe cops are wise enough to have entries in their journals to know its again a false report against a good man, playing with his legal own children

I had to reduce #Lastpass importance here, when they crippled the multiple plaform usability so my natural choice was #Bitwarden. THe fact that they are open source and will not pull such a stunt as lastpass did was vital for me.

Lastpass is now reduced to usage on linux machines, while bitwarden superceeds it on all platforms, even when new ones come in the future

There are ISP's out there which disallow the use of gateways other than theirs to enter their WAN. That means you are stuck with whatever config it allows.

I have root access to mine, so I can configure it to my liking, but the device is _not_ blinking out in quality, needing to be reset at least once every 14 days, otherwise it starts chocking when I need to transmit my radio stations over the NET

These type of ISP's make a lot of cash, selling bulk purchased cheap hardware, esp mine, which still sells services over copper using VDSL & ADSL2. Their FTTH speeds are also inconveniently capped on VDSL speeds

Can you not just put something behind their gateway?

Also taking into account that often the balance between spreading the disease and letting people work to feed themselves and loved ones is a massive challenge.

In my country we have destroyed economiy due to 10 years of incompetent greedy politics which had killed it already. People are out of work because of that.

Now the pandemic has made sure no one will recover at an acceptable rate, because new politicians also struggle to find the balance.

At this side of the planet we are screwed at such a hard rate, its amazing I can still feed myself, pay utilities and internet and be medically insured

A friend of mine was amazed by this capability of the Amiga when I showed him that on one screen I could play mod.DasBoot in NoiseTracker, pull the screen down partly then go on the BBS in the terminal by manually dialing atdt454074 and entering, without my A500 even skipping one beat...

All I had was the 512kB expander, he had a 386 with 387 and could only run a single tasking OS

Linux was originally built for the 386.

He could've done the same thing with DOS if he bought DesqView. That let you multitask multiple DOS applications on a 386.

Not quite. The multiple screen thing allowed several full screen graphical applications with different resolutions on screen at once, divided by a vertical barrier (a title bar similar to those on windows). This was a hardware feature at its core, if memory serves me right.

Yes, I remember the screen feature on my A500. It was neat.

To say a 386 is limited to single tasking is wrong though. That was my main point.

A working alternative is google _meet_

right - since google is well know for its privacy and telling the truth.

Great memories you brought back. Minicom times were so simple, the BBS sysop dialed upr2.clu.net for us so we had a nice UUCP connection and got our mails pushed out.

I had to undergo the same chicken egg situation with uudecode

Only hard switches can guarantee blocks to equipment. Any soft switch can be overridden.

I use electrical isolation tape on all cams pointed at me, always on androids & even on linux notebooks.

I always physically disconnect mics I dont use, if in notebooks I put a blob on removable glue on them

Thank you very much for sharing this info. Now I can use wttr.in in a varied manner

Thank you very much for this great interface to online terrestrial radio!
