> I worry about having regrets and endangering my family's financial safety.

The tipping point— when you no longer worry about things like finances, career track, opinions of others.

Either because you resolved those issues in your mind, or uncontrollable events have made your corporate position redundant.

Always a smart play to have a solid “Plan B” at the ready.

As a job seeker/potential applicant— nothing turns me off more than to deal with low-level HR types, much less an obvious ai interface.

Sadly, more and more actual hiring managers are completely divorced from the recruiting process.

Is it any wonder they cannot find good people.

I’ve found the best mentorships in the workplace, to be organic things.

That is to say, I was fortunate to strike up friendships with a couple of senior ranking guys.

We would frequently meet up for coffee/lunch. The conversations were casual, interspersed with friendly advice.

> Everything is reasonably good: pay, co-workers, work itself.

If ONE of these core elements change, THEN it’ll be time to move on.

There is an interesting formula for change. V and D (vision and dissatisfaction) are multiplied: V x D yielding the motivation to overcome R (resistance).

In other words, right now— if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I wonder what I can learn today that will benefit everyone?

I wonder what choices I can make today that would allow me to experience greater and greater fun and creativity?

When people get to do work that innately feels good to them, they will run to work each day, thrilled to give it their all. Jonathan Fields, host of one of the world's top rated podcasts, Good Life Project, calls this a “Sparketype”. It's the “DNA-level driver” of actions that most deeply fulfill us.

This requires contact information at the end, there seems to be no way to get results without them being emailed.

Tangential, life imitates art: The Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor (also known simply as Mr. Fusion and the fusion generator) was the name of a power source used by the DeLorean time machine. The actual unit was manufactured by Fusion Industries.

Drucker discusses this subject—

Important to understand “how do you learn?”

More importantly— how you do prepare for the second half of your life?

Relative to balance— Throw a young growing family into the mix. Suddenly, Needs/Priorities shift overnight. Call it a trade-off. Manage your energy first.
