Oh dear. This is going to be used as a stick to beat developers who work their contracted hours.

xamarin studio is great to work with. Mono has a c# repl. OTOH if you said c# is practically unusable without resharper, I'd have some sympathy.

Little known fact about Xamarin Studio (MonoDevelop) is that there is a option to enable source analysis which is for some reason off by default. Flipping it on essentially enables resharper mode. Only item missing is auto namespace resolution for references.

Thanks, it's under: Preferences -> Text Editor -> Source Analysis

you can run mvc on mono with nginx.

This is why people leave .NET. Why build tools when people will only use other inferior tools.

Twist last time I used it appeared to be much more inflexible to cukes. You still had to delve into Java to make it do anything useful so it still has the problems that cukes has.

I've got over 15k rep on SO and I've found more and more difficult to make an impact on there. Questions have either been asked or are answered instantly. All the time I'm getting answers and questions closed down and deleted as mods are gardening. I don't know what the answer is but its grown to the point where I find it too much effort too much.

Having said all that I'm just glad that its there. I remember coding without the internet (and I don't just mean a router failure) and that had its own challenges but SO has got me answers typically with in minutes and now instantly as the Q. base has grown. It's an amazing resource. If they can work out how people can contribute easily again it will be here for years to come.

My bad I missed the ? off. However the original SO question and the relevant comment (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18547909/what-would-be-th...) states that "DI is essentially a bad idea". So I feel the title is a suitable fit either way.

What was his game though? To make the overall class grade better. To prove that a "lone wolf" is worse than the "mob"? The outcome from an educational view seems to be that everyone won. The loner could be a statistical outlier.

What does payment have to do with it? A little common sense & a little respect for people is not nullified just because money has paid hands.
