This post made me boot up my 2013 MacBook Air. 800ish cycles on the battery still at 81% life. A OS update was just released 17 days ago. Amazing.

Maybe if congress gave a rats ass about consumer protections and privacy we wouldn't be in this spot. But money talks and shit walks.

I wish I could be assigned a project and make no progress in over a decade and still have a job.

Been there, done that, would not recommend. Working on such projects is incredibly frustrating and demoralizing.

I would like to believe this, but I think we need new leadership in dem leadership to make this happen.

Trump staged a coup to invalidate an election and install himself as president. Dem leadership thought that slow rolling his prosecution was the right idea. I believe that there is serious risk that the dems just say "well, let's try to put all that behind us" if they win in 2026 and 2028.

If there are elections in 2026 or 2028.

So then project past the horribleness.
