TimescaleDB competitor?

TimescaleDB is for time series data. Temporal data tables are for “versioning” data; for example, being able to query the state of a database as-of a certain time.

I'd be interested to learn more about the technical problem. Any problem that takes months to fix must have been deep. Can you share some details about that?

I'd rather ctrl-f and change code in multiple places than deal with abstraction hell.
