I once was looking for my airpods for 15 minutes until I realized that I was wearing them. Never had that with any earbuds before. Admittedly I was wearing a beanie (cold outside), ready to leave home and it was in the morning (so still sleepy)

Edit: that's a good thing

I can see that being the case, being intoxicated (no matter by what) for an extended period of time is going to shape the way you see the world (like any other experience in life).

Anyway for me personally the one time I tried acid it was more like: hey cool experience, it feels like I am experiencing things for the first time, kind of like a child. While the trip itself did not really change me a whole lot it made me reexamine things in my life and consider how I approach things and made me more aware of how my emotions and my brain in general can have an effect on my perspective. In that it was a teachable experience and any change in my personality after that experience was due to me having experienced the world in a different way even though it only was once.

I am not planning on taking it again anytime soon though. I can also see how it might affect others differntly, anyway they are mind altering (even if temporary and the changes can be permanent, like a holiday or a car crash and with my limited experience I can not speak to how it could exactly go wrong but I suggest anyone in here respects their mental health and reads up on all this before considering to try it)

Turkey really does have amazing and diverse natural landscapes, if only the government was a bit less... the way it is

I think pros should be able to embrace new things. I use emacs and vim for about 70% of what I do and I never use the fn keys. ESC is remapped to caps as well so I'd have preferred a macro key or something instead that I can customise as I please (there is probably some software for that out on the net somewhere anyway but I like native stuff) like define app/global specific keystroke patterns (e.g. you define it as cmd-s so you can use it to save or something) .

The touchbar for sure is lacking something, not sure what though. I agree with apple that the fn row could be utilised better so I applaud them for trying something, not sure if the touchbar is the right way though but should apple stick with it and keep going in the right direction again I will for sure customise the hell out of the touchbar.

Well, you can and it is being done? I have no problem with this whatsoever, not everything needs to be online.

Cool thanks for the work! I'll try it out once the formula is released :) (Note: I am a different person)

I think it is because the last to move makes the greatest profit. So people just wait to be the last wave of available apartments so they can hike the price up to whatever. Which leads to a bottleneck of sorts since nobody is willing to demand lower rent which would actually lead to people moving in...

Could they not increase the price in the following years if the market price goes up?

An apartment sitting idle should be a disaster - the higher rent obtained in the following years would need to be significantly higher just to break even in terms of yield.

I would've thought as full occupancy as possible at all times, i.e. renting out at market rates, would be the most profitable strategy.

Thus speculation haha. Especially if you can pass laws in your favor or the like I think this is the train of thought most of them have. If it didn't bring some kind of profit why would they do it? The only reason to not rent it out is if they think they will make more profit by holding out. The alternative is that they just hate their own money and want to burn it so that's how I come to this conclusion. By process of elimination.

Well it depends on where you are. Some places have different laws no idea about Dublin but some places protect renters from having the price spike up too quickly and have fixed rates once a contract is signed.

Edit: I of course have a subjective opinion on this from my point of view and where I am from the laws are heavily in favor of tenants so it is next to impossible to throw people out or hike up the price once an apartment is rented out.

This doesn't make sense to me. I don't think apartment complexes or individual landlords (who generally aren't super sophisticated) are thinking this way. Also, I just don't think this logic is sound. An individual landlord (or apartment) isn't going to affect the market as a whole.

Large investors (billionaires, hedge funds...) do this, and they are powerful enough to drive the market in most cities. Individual landlords usually seek rent.

I feel like Castlevania is a really cool take on Anime. It has a different style than the usual Anime and the fight scenes are amazing. I was surprised it is actually any good.

Castlevania backgrounds in season 1 are really ugly, the animation is poor. Season 2 did some good upgrades to backgrounds and the fight scenes where surprisingly good. I think they used the whole budget for that, because I was surprised by how good that looked.

The plot was interesting, I love castlevania, but the quality is still incredibly low from my point of view.

I think of Shingeki no Kyojin, that destroys Castlevania quality by so many levels...

I was really disappointed in the second season. It felt like it suffered from the usual problems of the second season of a lot of netflix originals I've watched.

For castlevania in particular, the art and animation really declined between the first and second season, the tone and atmosphere seemed totally different and the story just kinda went offs the rails.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season, it was one of the best video game adaptations i've seen but the second season just didn't quite do it for me. It just felt rushed and cheap.

Also from my personal experience if you DO want to learn about a PHP framework: Laravel is a great framework and Laracasts is a great learning ressource, I wish more frameworks/languages had learning ressources like that (yeah I know Laracasts does some extra stuff as well :)) I can only recommend it.

That being said the other options are great as well, JS has come a long way since the days of yore.

PS: It's all going to be a bit... rocky in the beginning. No matter what you choose. It takes a while to wrap your head around everything but it is doable in a decent timeframe.
