A (rather infamous? I recall a ton of controversy about it) wikipedia article for you:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charas

What is controversial about Charas?

Not charas, the wikipedia article about it.

Found it- https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/aug/25/russia-bans-wi...

There's some theories that the burning bush was an acacia tree, which could contain DMT. [0]

NOAA has a map showing historical data of the pole movements -

That should have been impossible. It was protected. I thought they made it protected.

I'm looking ...

Can they save it? Keep all the pieces together, maybe they can save it.

There's nothing to save. Look for yourself. It's just ... gone. There's nothing left.

Just found this now myself. Amazing what you come across in an HN discussion. Fascinating!

It's pretty unfortunate that article 5 conventions are so hard to get started. It's the only bloodless way I see to fix things.

I've been using this greasemonkey script for a while to do this- http://userscripts.org/users/509235

I think the conversation needs to change a bit. People just don't care in the current state. I've been toying with the idea of calling all this (seo/ads/blogspam/content marketing and the auto-twitter-bot-ira-shill-to-cause-controversy-and-mass-media-parroting-it-feedback-loop) "internet pollution" in order to get average joes to think about it differently.

"Pulling a keybase"

IDK WTF "PWA" in TFA means. SOS.

wtf is sos

Anyone in the tech industry, which is Hacker News' target audience, knows what PWA means.

And it's gaining ubiquity outside the industry as well; a search via Qwant (so not personalized) tells you that it stands for Progressive Web Application. The only other contender for the front page is Public Works Administration, which isn't remotely applicable.

TY

I really don't get why abbreviated is such a long word...

Sometimes I leave random/joking comments around my code if I've been in a rabbit hole for a long time and end up with a preposterously simple and elegant solution. I erupted with laughter a couple days ago seeing "# i fink yo freaky and i like u a lot" in the middle of some brambles I was untying.
