Our sister company, AngelList Venture, continues on as AngeList. With the spin out, we chose a name that embodied a spirit of discovery and finding what's next.
We couldn't be more dedicated to Wellfound. By spinning out from AngelList, we think we can hone in even more on our unique audience and elevate the product. There was a lot of friction from a shared brand and codebase from the investor side.
> We think Wellfound better embodies the spirit of finding what's next.
"Wellfound" definitely does not suggest that, at least to me. The associations I make are health or search related. I'm curious which agency did the rebrand work.
I decided to send an email to invest@angel.co instead, requesting deletion of my personal information based on Art. 17 GDPR - Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten'). Rick Segers promptly confirmed that my profile had just been deleted following my request. That is good and all, but I would have liked more the same level of responsiveness 1.5 years ago when I reported the insults from the alleged CEO.
We have 7000+ fully remote jobs listed on AngelList Talent that you can apply to (angel.co/jobs). There's also some granular remote filters: https://cln.sh/Q4dmSd
I think it's awesome that you take this so seriously. I also think it's great that you ask companies to be upfront about compensation (I say this as an founder). It irks me when companies aren't forthright with potential hires.
