Just leave the laptop on during winter??

The surrounding cold winds would reduce or negate any potential harm from leaving the laptop on and it wouldn't be cold enough to hurt a laptop in a sleeve/cover.

Also, this would also affect electronics transitioning from a cool/dry room to a hot/humid outside area. Such as going from cold hotel room overnight to the blazing hot outside in asia in the summer.

Not only does AI have no chance of threatening my job security, it makes my job easier the better it gets.

A larger task that usually takes me 3 hours I can shave off 2 with chatgpt. A task that takes me 1 hour, it can perform instantly. It can do 80% of a project for me with high rate of success but it can't do the last 20% - but neither can 99% of the ppl in my industry do it either.

I also asked chatgpt how long it'd take to take over my job:

"With your extensive experience across "insert my field", it would take a while for me to match the depth of your real-world knowledge and decision-making skills. However, I'm already here to assist with tasks like data analysis, generating reports, drafting documents, and providing insights, which can make your work more efficient. While I can handle many technical aspects, the nuanced judgment, leadership, and human connection inherent to your roles are unique to you and require a human touch that I'm not designed to replicate fully."

I then asked it to estimate how long it'd take to do 80% of my job: Chatgpt said maybe 5-10 years.

Can't wait.

afaik its one city from one brand doing it primarily for taxis (high use vehicles) and not the entirety of China doing this.

And it's not the first time its been done either.

The title of the article is a bit misleading.

So an independent study paid for by the current board shows that it was wrong to have fired him after he was reinstated on the current board.

What a waste of money, time and reporting.

While yes, grinding is good in moderation in their 20s, it also ends up creating harmful "grinding" habits later on in life, especially at corporate jobs where your future and promotions aren't based off of the "actual" grind.

That said, it doesn't mean they shouldn't be "grinding" in other aspects of their lives such as learning and honing their skills to grind that 2-year promotion by jumping around companies.

I'm an avid believer of only putting 50% in my day to day, and to only put in 100% when SHTF and have consistently proved my worth.

Exactly We are human beings not productivity machines.

Props to those who can work 100 hours a week

True, but from my point of view OP won because he was able to see through the aholes true plans causing the ahole to only get the crumbs of a much larger piece of the pie at the end.

To us and others it may seem to be a large sum, but to him it was definitely only a pittance of what he intended to take.

I didn't get that from the article - I read it as the broker got his full commission.

In fact, it reads as if the broker got even more than he expected, because the final sale price was 25% more.

4.0 and below, yes, iffy. 5.0 and above - better connectivity, battery life, etc. 5.3 is the most current version and its loads better than 4.0 or 5.0.

Amazon sells usb powered water pumps, that with a 5 gallon jug and some diy can make a reusable sink (google camping sinks or portable handwashing stations)

Depends on whats more exciting to you.

But computer systems is necessary for AI so either way you have to do one to do the other efficiently.

Not theoretically possible, serves no purpose that a test currently doesn't, and even if it was possible, it has no medical purpose.
