have seen this type of advertisement for Y product lot lately. You don't have to bash one product just to advertise another one. AI is not going away; you either embrace it now or after a few years. With its usage, it will evolve and get better with time, both as a product and the solutions they provide
I played around with OCI this weekend , and it is good too. Offering more than others for free, maybe because they are lagging behind. DB side they are powerful than competitors.
My 2 cents no point in reinventing the wheel. Instead use infrastructure to create something disruptive as they say it ( wonderful was sounding a bit lame :) ), spending money will automatically mean commercial software. At a quality worth spending money on.
Open source has its own charm, you are aiming for fame than money I guess ? Collaboration with strangers - keep your mind and heart open to new ideas and that can burn out software developers like us. Where we intent on creating something with a strong will, to learn something ( rust is a b**h ).
Ah sounds like you are looking at it other way round !! Enjoy whatever your hobby is , desktop, web, batch , cron job, api make it a beast and if its good it might sell. If you start a new hobby ( ahem !!) for profit its not a hobby.

If you are new to technology learn c, easy to wrap your head around it and can propagate your skills forward.
If you are already a decent developer, learn rxjs, totally different concepts that other language, its amazing what all you can do with rest based calls. Fun playground out there.
