Wonderful idea! As others have pointed out already it’s getting more difficult to find items that are still available for purchase. When they are still available they might not be built to the same specifications as before. I’ll swing over to the site and upload a few products I’ve been happy with that are still built to the same specifications. There is a thread somewhere over in the mrmoneymustache forums where you can likely attract some interest if the mods allow you to post. Best of luck!
Wow, great comment Nate that was rewarded with some equally eye opening advice for you to look into. I’d like to echo your message of some type of elimination diet being a valuable experience for anyone. I did the Whole 30 as well and it truly is amazing to discover how what you eat can have such a profound effect on how you feel. As I write that it seems so silly and obvious but until you really get a “reset” it’s easy to get used to feeling pretty average to lousy.
This is like a secret that unbelievably hasn’t hit the mainstream. If you sweat heavily pretty much no antiperspirant will work as advertised. Some of the prescription brands have you applying the night before and I had some success but they tended to tear up my armpits and ultimately fail. Personally I see a direct correlation between alcohol consumption and sweating. I discovered that as an unintended consequence during a 30 day detox. If I limit my alcohol intake and use just a deodorant I find myself much better off. Worth experimenting with if you’ve tried everything else.
Good call on that merit badge! I remember vividly we got to bring along a hot dog and a fire starter (maybe flint and steel?). We had rain so the forest was soaked. Despite our best efforts there was no fire and we dined on cold hot dog.
I’ve got a few personal projects up and running on blue host. I can’t speak for the actual performance (little traffic) but so far phone support has been helpful and quick. Positive experience so far after a couple months.
I believe I picked up on this site from HN years ago and I found it to be a great resource. Easy to digest a lot of the basic concepts to improve your play.
I started to really question my drinking over the last year or so. During the week I would drink a few beers or glasses of wine a night with a martini or other cocktail sprinkled in. The weekends would often involve more with a heavy hangover coming after neighborhood parties. I’ve gone the route of moderation and counting drinks and it was difficult to do, depressing and left me feeling deprived much of the time. One day I was in a forum reading a question much like this and someone mentioned a book called This Naked Mind by Annie Grace. It’s been a game changer for me and I’d highly recommend it. She actually suggests continuing to drink normally while you read it. She dives into a lot of the science and really opens your eyes to the world of alcohol around you. I haven’t stopped completely and I’m not sure if I ever will but the pull that booze had on me before is gone and I can confidently feel I’ll have a drink whenever I want; the idea of allowing yourself that freedom is empowering. Over the last 6 months I’m down maybe 75%. The social pressures are really the hardest for me now. The line of questioning you get is intense and something I was guilty of doing myself to others who weren’t throwing them back with me at the time. Best of luck in your own journey wherever it takes you.
I used to be a light and sweet guy but just slowly tapered back on the sugar. I eventually switched to half and half and currently go no sugar with a bit of half and half. I seriously can’t stomach the sweetness of how I used to drink it.
Agreed on the poorly laid out website. I book once or twice a year and will always call in. The customer service reps are friendly and helpful. They’ll input different parameters and will hold a reservation I think for 24hrs without charge. If you don’t book the seat just goes back into inventory.
