Photos will be replacing iPhoto and Aperture: http://www.macrumors.com/2014/06/27/aperture-development-sto...

I believe Adobe has already released a plugin to import your Aperture library into Lightroom.

Saying you're sorry then putting out a goddamn tshirt with a reference to a rape joke isn't an apology.

In its history as a comic, the strip has covered topics such as bestiality, suicide, torture, a juicer that "fucks" oranges, among others. There wasn't a similar outcry. Why is that?

also, I don't believe that's the actual chronology of the dickwolf debacle.

I read more into it and you're right; they posted the comic, then posted a passive-aggressive "apology" comic, then started selling the shirts. They took down the shirts and apologized, and then Krahulik later said that taking down the shirts was the biggest mistake he's made. So it's actually worse than I originally thought.

Also the Fruit Fucker does not rape PEOPLE, it rapes fruit. There has been outcry, but pretty balanced by the fact that it "takes advantage" of an inanimate object.

My question stands. the strip has covered topics such as bestiality, suicide, torture, a juicer that "fucks" oranges (note, I didn't say people, in case you were correcting me), among others. There wasn't a similar outcry. Why is that?

I have not used the site either, but from what I've read, the best idea is to use the name of a previous tenant, and to stick with domestic. If the parcel is sent via USPS First-Class or Priority, it cannot be searched without a warrant.

My understanding of it is that they're working within the constraints of WebKit in iOS. Developers aren't able to update the icon in realtime, but if you have a homescreen webapp it can update the icon each time you launch it. This is a nice workaround, since I used to launch my homescreen weather app every ten minutes, and chances are the temperature hasn't changed much since the last time I checked. I say "used to" because I use the Weather widget in Notification Center.

Is there something I am missing? Why would you be checking the weather so often? I agree that this is a novel use of a site icon, but it has limited (minimal) advantages.

For me apps like this can fall into habitual use, almost approaching muscle memory, e.g. checking e-mail/Twitter.

You're taking this way too seriously. Please, read the review. My interpretation is that it's Marco poking fun at Siracusa.

I've been using Chrome in iOS since it went on the App Store yesterday, and so far not being able to set it as my default browser doesn't seem to be holding me back too much. It replaced Safari on my dock, and my browser is usually within a single swipe on the multitasking tray at the most. Sure, you'll be thrown into Safari here and there, but that's the case for Mail as well, and I can still enjoy Sparrow.

This converter just came up in the store: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD504ZM/A?

It looks like this person put a lot of thought into how text editing could be improved in iOS, and the video is well-made. However, a great feature of the iOS keyboard is that if you press the wrong key, if your finger is still on the key, you can drag it over to the key you intended to use. Has he taken this into account? It would be pretty frustrating if I made an almost-typo, and instead of inputting the intended character, my cursor moved around.

The behaviour you described is specific to the iPhone. On the iPad, if you press on one key and move to another, it releases the original key and ignores the key press.

Well, I stand (somewhat) corrected!

Also if you press and hold a key, list of accented/alternative characters is opened. Anyway, OP has lovely idea, just the first trigger has to be tuned a bit. Maybe holding and dragging the space key?

With the claims of using "dramatic license," it sounds like he's trying to have it both ways, especially since he was on Real Time with Bill Maher recently, and a lot of these things that turned out to be fabricated he mentioned in the interview as though they were fact: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iebnHvxKqlY

I can't get behind this mindset. First off, who are you to say that these sorts of devices don't enrich people's lives? For this conversation, I'll concede that tablets are largely for consumption. At what point would it be enriching?

Under your rationale, if you always think of who has it worse than you, you could never have a valid complaint. "Man, I will be so disappointed if the iPad 3 doesn't have LTE." "Don't you think about starving children in Africa?"
