Wow I thought it was going to be later next year. Been anxiously awaiting this before starting another play through.

The writing for this game is just something special.

How does giving them deploy access prevent them from breaking the build, too?

Supply chain risk.

Please explain your reasoning.

Somebody else is building your binaries. You've added another link in your software supply chain. How do you know they haven't inserted malware?

> Somebody else is building your binaries.

That happens all the time. Who builds the docker images you are using?

> You've added another link in your software supply chain. How do you know they haven't inserted malware?

You're installing untrusted random packages from PyPI. There are many much weaker points than Astral giving you malware for fun.

Sure it happens, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't think about reducing it.

> Somebody else is building your binaries.

FYI there are two parties you are talking about: Astral, and GitHub too (if you don't trust Microsoft).

That was my thought as well. "Hopefully someone decides to take on the stewardship of PyOxidizer, too." That might not dovetail well enough with someone's business plans though.

Whats the end game here? Bug bounties? Notoriety? Bogus OKRs?

Resume padding is a big one

Yeah, Notoriety/Clout/Social Status.

This is Amazon's core e-commerce business model but for AI. You sell everybody else's stuff and also offer an Amazon Basics version.

At that point, why aren't you just writing HTML?

Markdown is really just a way of making the average, text, bit of HTML a little bit easier to read and write. Even when you're including some HTML in it, it still has that advantage over raw HTML.

<p>because, it is <i>really</i> awkward</p>

All the hoops you have to jump through with Markdown seem more awkward to me than a few extra characters.

but you jump through those hoops during setup, vs seven extra characters every paragraph

But then you just end up writing HTML anyways.

the output is html, but when you're writing markdown thought flows to output more seamlessly, with fewer characters vs with having to close italics with the more awkward </i>. yeah in the end that goes through a tool and it outputs html, but it's about when I'm trying to get the ideas out of my head and onto the page.

I don't think this glamorizes horrible weapons. We as humans get a certain thrill from scary things. "Dracula" didn't normalize being a vampire.

Looks like the Banana Boat Aloe Gel has significantly dried up in the original prop.

This conjures up an image in my mind of a million monkeys with headphones on, smashing at Blooomberg terminals.

If you had a million monkeys commanding substantial enough funds it doesn’t matter what you model as the market will react to your moves. Which you can then anticipate and profit further from. Show them an image of a rotting banana, they all panic sell, then the puts your orangutans bought and the calls your capuchins sold will be looking pretty.

How dare you insult monkeys. :0 lol. They have better short term memories than humans, per 2007 study by Tetsuro Matsuzawa and colleagues at the Primate Research Institute at Kyoto University in Japan.

Monkeys aren't (yet) interested in spending a lot of money on Brioni suits.
