We're a mobile-only, last-minute hotel booking service. iOS, Android, and mobile web, as well as an extensive backend (Rails and HTML5 mobile apps). We're a top rated travel app in the app stores, and our other customers, the hotels, love us as well. We just released our new iPad app, which is fscking beautiful if I do say so! Check it out.
We're backed by Battery, Accel, and First Round Capital. The office is on 2nd near Mission, two beers on tap, ping pong table, pool table, various video games, etc. We have a great team, and we're eager for more great folks to join us.
We take enormous pride in the product experiences we deliver to both customers and hotel partners. We build amazing products by questioning the standard way of doing things. We're looking for outstanding product builders who shares our passion for beautiful, practical products that earn raves from our peers and our customers.
We have several positions open for various developers as well as designers and many more. Check it out:
HotelTonight is just over a year old company now. We have great funding (plus a solid business model and increasing revenues & growth every month), and a wide range of interesting projects in mobile (iOS, Android, web/HTML5/JS), Rails, devops, etc. We are always hiring at this point.
I truly love the company and team we've built. The culture is outstanding, and one of the best parts is that every developer has a direct impact on product. We're continuing to innovate in our mobile apps, but also doing some very intriguing work on the back end.
Our main office is in San Francisco, but remote is possible too - US or Canada only. No contracting firms or recruiters please.
At HotelTonight we use CoffeeScript everywhere we'd normally use JavaCript. This includes our "native" (Titanium) iPhone app.
Being a Ruby shop, CoffeeScript (CS) has been a choice for us. We simply find it is a good fit for our minds and how we like to write code, makes it that much easier to structure and organize code nicely, and is more pleasant to look at day in and day out.
San Francisco, CA - Developers, Designers, and more
(full time, or contract-to-hire)
HotelTonight is looking for developers, a designer, and more. We're an early stage company pioneering mobile hotel bookings. We have an awesome team, and just moved into a new office near 2nd & Mission. We also recently closed our Series A round of over $3MM in funding from top venture companies (Battery, Accel, First Round, and more), and made the front page of USA Today yesterday (May 31st).
Our dev team of four uses Rails, Titanium, Coffeescript, Backbone and some other interesting pieces to build mobile apps and an extensive back end. Lots of testing, automation, and some devops too.
We have a couple positions posted. We're open to full time, as well as contract-to-hire. Check out the jobs here:
