what are the plans to support design systems? no one seems to be able to do this. prototyping doesn't happen in a vacuum, I'll always want to use the design system we spent months building in Figma.
Yes! We have a feature for reusing components where you can prompt "use my @design-library/button." But right now @design-library needs to be re-created in Magic Patterns. This is behind a feature flag, but let me know your account email or DM me alex [at] magicpatterns.com and we can add you to it!
We're looking into importing from Storybook too, but it can get fairly custom and we want to make sure it scales. It gets tricky because these systems are expecting a certain format - in our case React + Tailwind - and so if the design system isn't that, the LLM won't handle it well.
Once you figure out how it can understand all my Figma components and their styles (maybe via some “design”MCP).. it will make me 100% switch my design proto workflow!
exactly! I do not understand the British obsession for preserving insane amounts of crooked-walled buildings with horrible insulation ratings. zero historical interest, 100% NIMBY-ism. then the general populace mopes about the lack of housing, and dreams 15-minute cities without realising the only way to solve both is tear down what’s taking up space and build tall instead.
Our app helps small accounting firms streamline and automate workflows for thousands of clients in just 2 weeks or less.
We're already supporting ~700 accounting firms worldwide with just a tiny seed round led by A-tier tech VC investors like Seedcamp, MMC Ventures, and TriplePoint. Players in the space have approached us about acquisitions but we want to go all the way.
Our goal is to have 100,000 firms running on Pixie in the next ten years and we're looking for great talent to join our product team in sunny Lisbon:

Our goal is to have 100,000 firms running on Pixie in the next ten years and we're looking for great talent to join our product team in sunny Lisbon:
- Senior full-stack/product engineers
- Mid-level product manager
Our stack is based on the latest RoR, VueJS 3, Postgresql, ElasticSearch, Redis, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI.
Email celso [at] usepixie.com if you'd like to have an initial chat about these roles.
I am bootstrapping UsePixie.com, which is a Basecamp for accountants. Just barely launched in fact. Feedback has been really good and a few firms are using it. Tiny team, distributed, but the company’s UK based.
I’m looking for a full stack tech lead to take over from me, but I’d surely prefer a more experienced/senior long term partner/co-founder.
Tech stack is Rails running on AWS, with sprinkles of Vue in a few key parts of the app.
No. Although the email parser as a service idea is nice, it has a couple of major downsides.
For starters, it’s now a GDPR world: I want to avoid the risk of breaches on your side affecting mine. Secondly, today you want to send nice compensation emails, tomorrow (under pressure from your board) you start mining the emails for competitive research and increased monetisation. I wouldn’t want to put the reputation of my service on the line for this.
