Worker bees dies when they sting a person, because the stinger and venom pump remain when they fly off, ripping their abdomen open.

The purpose of this is that the venom pump continues to function after they have left, making the sting as painful as possible.

Honeybees are a superorganism, where the survival of the colony supersedes the survival of any individual bee.

Sometimes I observed how it worked after being stung by a bee. It is better to remove sting using force from one side. When two fingertips are used to remove a sting all venom is being pushed into the wound.

For the last few years, I had several thousand people at my disposal, part of a global group, operating 24/7 that would do my bidding. A simple post on Slack or a brief voice chat was enough to hurl them into action, ready to spend hours warring against our foes. Various teams coordinated our real and virtual infrastructure, the military led our battles, and my diplomats dealt with the incoming drama.

In short, I was a Warlord in the ur-Metaverse.

If you could try anything different, what would you do to make it more sustainable?

Leadership takes a toll, and there seems to be some psychic overhead to maintaining a "double life" in the Metaverse.

Not a fake life, but having to manage an entirely different persona: digital, different goals (galactic conquest), nonstop communication stream(s).

What opportunities for "executive-level automation" would have been useful?
