Python is very versatile from a malware perspective, especially toward anything *nix since python is always pre-installed. There are tons of pip packages that can be used to the bad guy's advantage that they don't have to rewrite themselves (e.g. keyloggers, video camera related packages. All they need to do is have a way to deploy it and receive the data, then it's just a matter of hiding the communication. Building loaders, reverse shells and bypassing AV is hell of a lot easier in Python as well.

See PupyRAT, a full-on multi-os admin tool mainly written in Python (2 unfortunately, also it's buggy and outdated), it's a great example. They use a C wrapper around their remote admin tool that is written in Python. Their (C) loader downloads the provided Python payload from an http link, stores it in a specific memory address that gets executed right after. Because it's in memory, it doesn't touch the disk, Unless you are using the Windows payload (which provides multiple options to hide the program using a set of windows' exploits).

Because the virus is not real or not as serious as the media is making it as....The whole BLM movement has been slowing down the number of cases if anything, but now that the rioting has been dying down, they want to bring back Corona narrative. They also want to make #StayHome a thing again. All covid statistics have been proven to be flawed and if not, suspiciously fake. If covid was a real pandemic, all rioters would have symptoms and be dead, yet here we are having to wear cloth masks everywhere we go cause it's mandatory.

Worldometer shows that 92% of covid cases already have been recovered, leaving only 8% that actually died from corona (so they say). There were sources saying that lot of the elderly patients in NYC died through complications of breathing problems leading to suffocation from the ventilators they used. So people were accidentally dying and marking their death as Covid. Sounds a lot like the cases here in the West side where someone get shot, they mark their death as covid related.

Even the doctors where I work are truly skeptic to this bull crap. What Hospital is overworked with Covid patients in the US? I thought all hospitals were busy making twerking videos on TikTok whilst demanding more ventilators & masks. Clown times we are living in. The confusion in OP's article says it all

> A “Covid party” is a gathering held by somebody diagnosed with coronavirus to see if the virus is real and to see if anyone gets infected, she explained.

What the hell? I knew "Covid party" was a term, but I figured it referred to general parties, not some strange attempt to purposely get inflected, maybe.

Same...... Same.

I'd imagine that if you got into a car accident in a nuclear-powered car, it would blow up like a mini-nuke just like in Fallout

That’s not how nuclear explosives work.

Perhaps it would melt down through the tarmac. As the article states, 'Yeah, let that sink in for a moment.'

The design of a nuclear bomb is necessarily very different from the design of a nuclear reactor. You could have a reactor that blows itself up from internal pressure (like Chernobyl did) but one not with any sort of nuclear (or even conventional explosive of the same size or weight) force.

There is a paper somewhere that actually suggests that Chernobyl might have contained a (small) nuclear detonation at the beginning. Not being a nuclear physicist I can't really critique it.

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/00295450.2017.1... (Found it)

Can you explain what that's supposed to mean?

An intentional nuclear explosion is air exploding because it's heated by a nuclear reaction. Chernobyl was water exploding because it was heated by a nuclear reaction. It's the same thing, but it's also a steam explosion. Is that paper saying "Chernobyl was not an ordinary boiler failure"? Of course it wasn't.

As in, the conditions in a few of the fuel channels were sufficiently extreme as to cause an actual critical explosion (is the hypothesis)

Yeah, and that phrase has no meaning. Especially "critical explosion" is nonsense, because "critical" in the context of a nuclear chain reaction means "steady state".

What happened, as commonly understood, is that the reactor was in a state where it had a positive temperature coefficient. The insertion of the graphite-tipped control rods added reactivity, it became super-critical, and thanks to feedback, the power spiked to an order of magnitude more than the design power. All that heat flashed the water in the pressure channels to steam, which blew the top off the reactor. A steam explosion caused by heat from a nuclear reaction.

Now what the hell is a "critical explosion", what is "a nuclear jet", and how is a "nuclear explosion" not the sudden expansion of water or air?

As in nuclear bomb goes bang.

I don't know much about nuclear physics (particle yes, nuclear engineering no).

See, that's exactly the problem. They tack on "nuclear" and "critical" to empty phrases so they sound scary to people who know nothing about nuclear fission. Thanks for confirming.

>For example, imagine what it would be like to play Grand Theft Auto V with unforgiving physics — there's a mod for that by the way.

A mod? GTA IV! The article should of showed a gameplay clip of gta 4's racing and especially the car damage physics. It's far more complex than what gta 5 offered. I was hoping to see a gta 4 mention lol

F-Droid is solely for FOSS apps

Amazon and Samsung have their own stores too that are not limited to FOSS

Monero anyone?

The other day, I just made my first, something a lot similar: postgres+nginx+python+php, but yours is much more proper than mine. Yours is the example I really needed, thank you

Glad it's helpful for you!

> Most malware code I've seen is terribly written and barely works.

Yeaah cause someone is just going to be so kind enough to share their perfect example of what malware code should look like to the rest of the world.. (actually there's an F ton available on Github, quasar, pupyrat, etc) Don't be so naive man. As a hobbyist malware programmer myself, I know that you don't know what you're really talking about other than pointing out skids targeting Windows (cause most available malware/RATs are targeted for windows) and use Kali cause-so-many-yt-tutorials.

edit: fwiw, I find it much easier writing malware under *nix cause they come with python and a bunch of dev libs, where as windows I have to dynamically load libraries in sneaky ways. Also implementing rootkits & RunPEs can be pretty damn puzzling -- definitely not that easy as you say

> As a hobbyist malware programmer myself, I know that you don't know what you're really talking about

Let's see some of your code.

you write malware in Python..?

I think you meant to reply to dead_mall

> toxic American jerks whose behaviour results in them having no friends

Scary enough, search for Incels[.]is and you'll find a forum/home dedicated to exactly that behavior.

Yet, unlike the sacred group value of jihad in the study, it's even more obvious how social exclusion can lead the way to a group identity like incels, which is a bit of a tautology because the incel identity is specifically social exclusion.
