HN isn’t a place for this at all and we’d just get flagged to oblivion. Does anyone know of any such platform in the Western/English speaking world?

There's a lot of hustle involved with startup culture and corporate work. I think the pandemic laid bare a lot of the bs around corporate messaging in general, everyone has read all about the bulk of the pie going to very few people indeed, and our newer generations seem to be very savvy about the lack of opportunities, even with the hustle. What's the point of grinding if there is nothing to show for it?

I’ve yet to see someone qualified on HN discussing this. It’s all vapid anecdotes and unfounded/untested beliefs and subscriptions to various pet theories.

Do actual scientists hang out here on HN in strength? It seems to be mostly a mix of technologists, startup-types and adjacents/aspirants.
