Sounds like you are made for a full-remote position

Exactly what I thought.

For anyone unfamiliar with the term: As an example, gaslighting is when Alice and Bob had an argument. Alice slaps Bob in the face. Then, three weeks later, Bob goes back to Alice and asks "why did you slap me during that fight" and Alice would go "That never happened, Bob. You slapped me. Are you insane?" Thus making Bob question his memory and sanity by insisting on a false narrative.

What Facebook is doing is simply trying to lure people, it doesn't mean they are trying to question their sanity.

If this is the response to mass protests I wonder which kind of protests will happen in response to this.

This is not just another great firewall of China, this is more like a nation-wide intranet. I do not believe that the Russians are as indoctrinated to this as the Chinese are.

This is the milder of the Russian Internet stories lately:

- Gotta stop social media from promoting the protest

- Gotta stop certain videos

- Gotta end anonymity

Considering the risks of cyber warfare and attacks that are possible these days I think that it's sensible for a country, any country to be able to disconnect from the internet at the flick of the switch if needed. Russia has just implemented sensible 'cyber defenses', which I hope we also have in the West.

I'd rather run the risk of cyber warfare attacks than letting the Government turn off access to the global Internet at will.

You and Medvedev claim this is defensive, but the capability has existed for two years. Are you expecting Russia to need to defend its Internet at the same coincidental time as these protests?

text-transform: uppercase would also have worked I guess. Although .toUpperCase also normalizes

Windows for development for me is not a question for the filesystem alone.

Deleting a large folder like node_modules seems to take ages on windows as compared to macOS or Linux.

> However Signal is open source.

Not a telegram fan at all but their clients are also open source

> Zuckerberg also accused Apple of providing false assurances on user privacy.

Of course Facebook is the prime example of user privacy. Throwing stones in a glass house.

WSB looks more and more like crypto-style pump and dumps.

It sure does. I think to support this phenomenon, a person is likely too unimaginative to extrapolate the trend into the future, or else a loon who wants to 'let the world burn'

I hate the financial system as much as anyone else, but a world where Redditors do the manipulation seems as bad to me. I remember thinking, back when 4chan was famous for 'meat space' activism against crazy people, that it could get scary if the wind changed. It did.

I'm not sure 4 the lulz nihilists has enough capitol to do big movements. WSB jokes around about 4chan style investing, but the bulk of the people who keep up in there aren't 4chan people.

> I'm not sure 4 the lulz nihilists has enough capitol to do big movements

Apparently they do. See AMC, BB, NOK...

I wonder if Bitcoin's -6.09% drop today has anything to do with them liquidating to have $ to buy these stocks.

My guess was that BTC correlates with the stock market lately and most stocks have seen a pretty big drop in the last days

That's quite interesting if enough investors are somehow pegging their Bitcoin ownership to the state of the stock market.

It is pretty damn powerful and quite elegant. What do you find bad about it?

Not a lot is bad in the language since es6 (I don't know if they kept hoisting or not) but in any case I don't find any reason to put it that high above the rest :) but I was curious about your reasons mostly.
