lol, so was I. a slide rule enthusiast myself I own several linear and circular slide rules. that said, I have come across an 8foot x 18inches linear slide rule used for teaching but a 45 meter drum shaped slide rule would be awesome.
I remember this documentary. It basicly chronicled him setting out too design and build his own airplane which devolved into chaos. It was kind of painfull too watch. In the end he had too purchase a kit plane and get outside help building it too simply have a show that ending in some form of success. An interesting example of how projects can go wrong. I can't remember the name of it though...
This is fascinating. I have had eye floaters and tinnitus for many years. Both problems have been frustratingly intermittent for me. But over time, I have gotten them under control. The answer for me was food. If I had a burst of eye floaters or tinnitus I would ask myself “what have I eaten recently” and make note of it. Soon patterns emerged, for example, beer caused really bad eye floaters and candy would set off my tinnitus. So I ate less of anything correlated with my symptoms. Not a sexy solution(especially if you like beer), but has worked wonders for me in the long run. Good luck.
I've seen papers where floaters and tinnitus are associated to lyme disease. It can also be linked to thyroid issues that have led to autoimmunity. Autoimmunity can be connected to food.
The weeks prior to my floater onset, I had really bad migraines and pain "behind" my eyes, close to the nose.
My floaters are permanent. Most seem to be. I also get occasional mild flashes, which are probably caused by little changes in pressure within vitreous regions close to my retina.
It's a joke, the meat of which is that hermetic magic involves complex series of esoteric invocations that consume time and effort to no meaningful result.
I didn't work it out very well, though, and it didn't land. So it goes. The next one will be better.
One example might be that spirits are said to be bound by arbitrary functions (bizarre ritual ingredients being a famous example). That they respond to and recognize cues.
Another aspect of spirit lore is that the more central or higher in the hierarchy, the less different "pointers" or cues may be required for evocation, and stronger expression of those fewer cues may result. The lower/more numerous spirits might require more specificity or larger seed.
Transformations at a minimum: by inducing a receptive trance state, then by self-suggestion.
Cheese, butter, sauerkraut and pickles are all products of fermentation. Fermentation is how people preserved and enhanced the nutritional composition and digestibility of many foods. Process's like canning, freezing, refrigeration, dehydration, bleaching(flour, sugar, salt) and pasteurization, to name a few, are all examples of modern food process's that typically alter the food in some way that favors shelf life, cost or convienence over nutrient density.
Consider the following analogy. We all have bodies, but few become athletes. We all have minds, but few become thinkers. I think this is a matter of choice influenced by ones predisposition and experiences. Inevitably we choose to specialize in something and that specialization strengthens us in some ways at the cost of weakening us in other ways. -cheers
