Why must front-end developers know Python and Go?

I don't know about Go, but Django is relatively popular. It's a stretch, but I could see it being useful there. But we might as well include any language that has a Web framework then.

agree, Node.js should be enough. I don't know of any front-end tooling based on Golang yet.

Do you think Notes will make for a good task management application? Does it have to-do lists and commenting?

Yes. On our team of 5 devs we actually stopped using trello in favour of it.

The ability to tersely create checkboxes by simply typing square brackets [ ] and a few other neat formatting tricks proved to be the path to least resistance for us when planning and organising sprints.

We find we spend less time managing a project management system, less time creating lists of actionable items and more time to actually get stuff done. YMMV with bigger teams, though.

I'm surprised Sony chose to release this on XBOX instead of PlayStation.

It likely wasn't even thought about.

Sony pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment have a weird rivalous relationship. I have a friend who worked on the earlier star wars MMO which was months away from being released by EA or some other game publisher before someone very high up pointed out that SCE also publishes games, why give EA the money?

Sony is designed as a bunch of internally competing fiats and often several groups will work on the same thing competing with each other. The idea is that the best idea will win out. It works some times and other times it leads to them being very disorganized.

They know the whole company's security sucks and they didn't even have enough time to audit it. They probably feared that if they had announced the Interview for PSN, hackers would've taken it down or something. That's the only explanation I can come up with. Otherwise it would be a really odd decision.

Will anything actually happen if in fact this reaches 25,000 signers? Doubtful, but I signed anyways.

I don't know if it would. But Apple has been pretty successful with keeping this issue low-key as of now. Maybe if enough external channels are used they might feel pressurised enough.

Just one of several threads on the issue, but this is massive with over 1.3 million views and heading towards nearly 9,000 replies so far:

https://discussions.apple.com/message/26643423?tstart=0#2664...

There's also media worldwide that's covering the issue. Apple needs to stop ignoring this defect and offer a recall and replacement program before his escalates further.

Do you happen to have any links to read more about this veneer strategy?

I think I've only heard it called that. I'm not sure I've read it. I just didn't want to pretend I was coining it. I've heard it called other similar things.

WRV is a local surf shop where I live and while I don't own the website I hate having to type in their URL. I think it would be a nice gift, even if it's temporary.

Thanks in advance.

hey drey,

that one was used in the past but is free now, so you can have it.
