Not true. Take a look at what Maersk does: http://www.maersk.com/sustainability/environmentclimate/page...

I find Jenkins UI too cluttered with a lot of stuff being hidden by default behind the "Advanced" buttons. So I stopped using Jenkins UI and migrate all my job definitions to YAML file in my source code repo. I use OpenStack Jenkins-job-builder to generate job.

Here is the list of different tools, that can be used to automate Jenkins: https://gist.github.com/lechat/6666099

But everyone uses some other version control system, isn't it? Set Jenkins job to poll you source code repository...

Sometimes I'm trying to improve a step, and want to test a quick change. Going from Build Configuration up to Build Overview to click on Run Build is slow and easy to forget, and I don't want to check something in just o trigger a build.

Plus, TeamCity has 'Run Now' on every build-related page.

Swedish snus in packets doesn't involve any spitting. It is totally discrete, even more than nasal snuff.

As vim user, I found that the best keyboard for vim is Microsoft Arc keyboard in UK layout: - It has terrible arrow keys, which basically forces you to use hjkl. - It is small enough to be able to reach all keys w/o moving my palms. - in UK layout '\' key is under my left pinkie, so I don't have to remap leader to anything else. '@' for macros is in a good place too. - Esc key is big and positioned separately, easy to use.

Not if you're rebasing your branch on every change in master.

A good point. Or merging in changes from master, if you like it that way.

Not even then - because everyone else on the team is doing the same

You manage them in your Google Account under Security, Connected applications and sites

Thanks. :)

Could it be that you have "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed" setting to be on?

"This is only applicable to Google Chrome browser on Windows and Linux." (source: https://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&an...)

the mystery continues ...

I can read this too, Google translates it well.
