Seeing this, I hope they dig more into the motivation and decision making behind massive ranking updates. Essentially, is it only about improving search quality.
I had issues too. Thought it was just my home network. After a few reboots of every device on ai mesh, was able to install the latest firmware. It mentioned it fixed a memory leak. I have 2 RT-AX55's.
While not Google Drive, today my Ad words account was suddenly suspended because of non payment. No warning just a suspension. I have a 100% Valid credit card number on my account. I need to submit an appeal and then I get a vague "because of Covid 19" we can't respond even though we know Google has hired a record number of contractors and folks in the US this year. Something isn't right.
Interesting - I got a sternly worded warning about the billing information for my GCE account this evening, and after looking and verifying that the credit card on file was, in fact, still my credit card, and not remotely close to expired, I shrugged. The VM I run there as a freebie instance for a few things isn't that important, it would be annoying to lose it, but... I'd just spin up another VM somewhere else for the purpose.
I don't think I had the option to appeal, but they've also not actually terminated the VM yet, and I'm up to date on my billing according to their system so... shrug
Someone pushed a billing update without testing it properly first and it got confused, most likely. I expect a "Please ignore our last email..." sort of message tomorrow.
> [Under Investigation] Customers may receive "Payment failed" notifications.

I wonder if it's more widespread and you got caught in the same thing.
I find the Wyze cams great! Cheap. They do have 2 factor auth support for apps like Authy. It doesn't sound like you have enabled the premium features. Person detection is really good for exterior facing cams. Hook it up to Alexa Show and you have person detected notifications also access to any cam. Premium also has longer clips. For the price it's kind of OK to be semi locked down. I believe the reason for not supporting RTSP is because of hardware limitations on V2.
“Some who have already left San Francisco complained of mismanagement of the city and state. Though it's not clear what exactly they're referring to” (read this the other day)
“Haven't left Silicon Valley; they're still continuing to employ people”
There is this general aloofness of the problems. They need to address it head on and make it more hospitable for companies and residents.
My bone to pick with this is in order to make a real dent in these problems, you have to be able to put down roots and live in a place for many years.
San Francisco and the bay area generally are just too expensive (and frankly, too dangerous) for most people to put down those roots and raise a family and get involved meaningfully in the community.
Doesn't excuse most gold-rush tech people from not being involved in local politics at all, you can get involved trivially, but in order to build real lasting coalitions and build real influence people need to stay here a long time and fight it out.
And it's just easier to throw your hands up and move to a new trendy city that doesn't have these problems.
