Ironically, we told you all for years that if you abused terms like fascist, Nazi, racist, etc then they would lose their power and their impact and people would ignore them in future. You were warned what would happen if you cried wolf.
I know they're deporting people who aren't here legally (that's a whole other debate), but I'm not aware of them actively targeting anyone based on race of ethnicity regardless of their legal status.

They are working on cancelling their legal status. We have allowed Haitian migration because of the incompetence and corruption down there (and our role in a lot of that in the past)
If they go through the legal process and revoke or cancel status in a way that courts agree is within their legal authority, I'm not sure what they would have done wrong there. Morally I'd take huge issue with it, but we have allowed such a complex web of laws and authorities that we can't really complain when an elected official does what they want by the book.
Now if they go off script and act outside the law, that's a whole other story.

There is no threat towards Canadian sovereignty obviously. The Riviera in Gaza would be a lot better than the current situation in which its biggest industry is exporting rockets into Israel. Also not territorial expansion as Gaza isn't a neighbour. Imperialism? Yes. But look at the world. It functioned much better in most places when imperial powers controlled more of it. Anna Karenina is a masterpiece of a novel. I highly recommend it as well.

I played around with Coconut many years ago and my impression was that the compiler was not smart enough to be useful. The generated code had a big pile of helper functions hardcoded at the top, and the program was much slower than the equivalent plain Python.
By contrast Hy generates Python code that is very close to what you might write by hand, apart from some indirection when it comes to scoping with `let` and some variations around returning values.
Maybe Coconut has improved though, it's been a long time.
This lookes well made and based on the great beartype. I wonder if there are packages that use this and if one could imagine a similarity interfunctioning ecosystem for Python as Julia seems to have.
I highly recommend "mapy.cz", another free, ad free, offline map app. I used it for a longer hike in Slovenia this summer and was amazed that it included all of the hiking trails we encountered in the area.

I tried both this summer and Mapy.cz is definitely better for hiking. You don't have to zoom in as much to see the trails, hiking trails are marked more clearly with major trails marked in a nice thick red line and it has relief maps (though they can't be downloaded) and the peaks are more clearly labeled along with their height. Also when you zoom out you see a height map instead of just grey for land and blue for water.
Overall it has a nicer attention to detail, for example dashed lines stay in one place as you zoom in/out instead of swimming around and I like the selection of downloaded areas better on Mapy.cz (it has flags next to country names and downloading a new area takes one tap instead of two or three) though it still feels flimsy.
I wonder why this app isn't more popular. Basically, there's a map app which is much better than Google Maps for a lot of use cases and very few people outside of Czechia use it. Is this a matter of marketing or is the app actually not that good?
I've been using it for a while and love it but intend to give the open source Organic maps a try. In particular sharing a way point in Mapy.cz seem to require an account with a Czech web portal.
The reason Mapy.cz has all the trails is because they also use open street maps.
