Google AI overview dissector

AIOs are a black hole - we dont know when they appear and whats in it. so i creates a tool thats starts with GSC data and enriches it via AIO data

works good and the major finding by now

the best AIOs you can get are ..... none.

doesn't matter if you are in it or not - as soon as they show up the CTR to tour web-property goes down massively ~60% to 70%

the CTR on the AIOs are ~0%

I love my iPad, best TV i have ever owned.

Ha, yes. I have a Galaxy A7 lite that is my TV. Much cheaper and has a 500GB SD Card in it as well.

my time at a money startup (debit cards) i pushed to legal and security people to change their behaviour from "how can we prevent this" to "how can we enable this - while still staying with the legal and security framework" worked good after months of hard work and day long meetings.

then the heads changed and we were back to square one.

but for a moment it was glorious of what was possible.

It's a cultural thing. I loved working at Google because the ethos was "you can do that, and i'll even help you, but have you considered $reason why your idea is stupid/isn't going to work?"

I found the development of my Triclock[1] interesting. Stayed in Show HN for 3 days, never reached the frontpage, 65 upvotes. So a popular 3 day evergreen. All other of my Show HN were Crash & Burn or Burn & Shine

Yeah Show HN has a pretty interesting distribution compared to standard posts due to the long-term visibility on the Show page. The odds of a Show HN post breaking 10 points is significantly higher than an average post, but of the posts that clear 10 points, I recall the likelihood of breaking 100 points to be similar to a regular post.

As a sidenote: That clock is so cool: I was just mesmerized for multiple minutes!

So with Max Stoiber and Peter Steinberger 2 well known Austrian Devs ended up at OpenAI.

i'm running claude code on a server in yolo mode - ssh via tailscale

yeah, openclaw is tue more user friendly product (whatsapp bridge, chat interface) bit otherwise at the core they are the same.

i did run moltbook for half a week - it crunched through my claude code pro token allowance in that time. needed to put claw to sleep again after that. needed some work to do.

it's a pwa and the widgets are a good idea

interesting question, near perfect triangles

  07:18:18
  16:41:41
  09:23:23
but non of them are mathematically perfect triangles.

well 00:00:00 and 23:59:59 are

for a perfect triangle all three hands need equal distance from center. hours range 0 to 23, minutes and seconds 0 to 59, so you need

h(divided by) 23 to equal

m(divided by) 59 to equal

s(divided by) 59.

since 23 and 59 are both prime, bad luck.

I wanted to do something with the Plasma Effect from this HN discussion https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46867271 combined with the faint idea to do something with colors and time that has been on my mind for quite some time.

also fixed the 44s to 45s bug with the visible plasma effect shift in one of the triangles

I'm 47 and excited to live in a time of the moat important innovation since the printing press.
