Another super super fast website is https://www.mcmaster.com/

I compared OctoDNS with DNSControl (https://github.com/StackExchange/dnscontrol) a few years ago and settled with DNSControl because it had more providers out of the box.

But using either of these tools to have your DNS redeploy-able to a new provider is a great idea for resiliency.

Do you have a dedicated git repo for your dnscontrol config and use github actions to run dnscontrol when you push?

I've been thinking about doing this for my personal domains, but not sure if it's a good idea

https://cachethq.io/ is great for this

Amusingly enough, it is down right now because of Cloudflare :-)

Been using Cachet for quite a while before inevitably migrating to Atlassian's Statuspage.io. I'm a huge fan of self-hosting and self-managing every single thing in existence but Cachet was just such a PITA to maintain and there was just no other good alternative to Cachet that was also open source.

Looks cool, but I think the name is very similar to Keeper (https://www.keepersecurity.com/en_GB/enterprise.html)

Thanks for the feedback, I hope you check out the app! Yes I know it is similar, I actually went through several different names. I started with PassMaster and then PassMan. PassMan was already taken on PyPI, and PassMaster was also quite long to use for a cli command. I liked Keepr as it is short to type out and I like the connotations it has to keys, secrets and security!

It exposed their committer email (I know its already public on the site, but still)

You can wget the whole .git folder and look through the commit history, so if at any point something had been pushed which should not have been its available

Protonmail is a good alternative if its imap restrictions are not a problem for you

I'd prefer to have full IMAP support without needing a specialized app, otherwise Proton seems like a better choice than Zoho, which is definitely overkill for my needs.

[edit] I just found purelymail, which seems like a good fit.

What was your motivation to use AI for this instead of simple image analysis?

Writing prompts is much simpler than image analysis plus they make a AI test framework thingy

Image analysis would be better. I just wanted to test it quickly with different models (Gemini, GPT 4o, etc.) using an AI testing framework I am building

AI’s cool

AI is for cool fools
