And how many stations did that yield?

Direct To Consumer. Selling directly to their customers on Nike.com disintermediating Foot Locker or another distributor/retailer network.

Fascinating article. Seeing the "uni" and wondering if that was in fact the beginning of what we know as uni-ball was neat.

And since the authors' shop is local to me I'm going to have to go see what they've got!

If they also sell mechanical pencils, get a Zebra Drafix and Pentel PG-5, and maybe a Pentel Smash (aka Q1000) and/or Pentel 120 A3-DX.

You'll not be disappointed. :)

The simple explanation is most of these are Excel VLOOKUPs gone wrong.

I always did Alt-Space, M to select Move. Of course, this was easier to know before they hid the underline cues by default so you'd know what hotkeys were what :)

I don't think of it as a hack any more than Sirius or XM making a "control plane" signal by just interleaving the what's on or channel map in with the music signal.

Does it do this on iOS? I just cancelled RT because it crashed on my work computer all the time but if the phone app weren’t useless that might be different.

I think these are cool and seeing the NetBoot + CoW setup for gaming is fun.

Thanks for sharing!

Didn’t the Department of Defense try to mandate Ada in the 1980s? That went nowhere.

Ada 95 is still around. I know personally and have used it. It is being slowly ripped out of a major system but it persists. AdaCore and GNAT help a lot too.

It went to 7 Ada vendors still in business in 2024, in an age where many folks refuse to pay for their work tools.

Folks that play the Ada card don't get then issues regarding compiler prices for Ada, versus C and C++ free UNIX compilers (it was an additional license on UNIX SDKs), the hardware requirements, the salaries for devs with Ada skills, and yet those 7 companies manage to stay in business.

Is it just paired with his phone that he has access to on the weekends? Asking because I've thought about this before (younger kids) but I don't think the AW operates standalone and I didn't want to pair it with my phone.
