I just switched to Hiya from Nomorobo and the premium version allows for this, referred to as the "neighbor scam". It's worked really well, between my number and Gvoice I was getting 50 of these calls a week.
I'd used Nomorobo since inception but found more calls getting through, mostly neighbor scams. Went looking for a new call blocker and they are all similar. Hiya had built in support for neighbor scam which was a huge percentage of my inbound spam. It's worked as well as Nomorobo plus it blocks neighbor spam, so I'm ahead at the moment.
I've seen a lot of people dismissing this as insignificant. It's not when you realize that while Dorsey is a billionaire, the majority of his wealth is illiquid (tied up in Twitter and Square). He's clearly sold Twitter stock to get liquidity at various points and should not be faulted for that because it's logical. A quick scan of his sales (which are infrequent compared to other insiders) leads me to believe this was non-trivial portion of his liquid net worth.
Brilliant. 37signals inspired a generation of developers, nearly every modern web framework and dozens of direct competitors. Makes complete sense to double down on their biggest winner. Many people talk about cutting, simplifying, focus, editing - but few people and even fewer companies follow through on it.
Former STL startup founder here (slicehost). We were from St Louis, so starting the business here made sense and gave us several distinct advantages (cheap power, data center space, etc).
For startups, it's currently an ideal place IMO. There are quality people here doing whatever it takes to help people get a business started. Money? They can help. Space? They can help. Introductions? They can help. A low cost of living gives you plenty of time to figure things out. Throw in a ton of good restaurants, a decent art/music scene, a couple of good universities and you have something worth serious consideration. Biggest downsides are weather (winters are chilly) and you need a car.
