Hi HN!

I'm an experienced full stack web developer + devops engineer with 6+ years' experience working in small teams and driving change. In my last major role I brought a fintech product from 0 to EUR 300.000 in ARR while leading a small team. I've recently been working as a consultant developer, would like to join a full time role.

Hi HN!

I'm an experienced full stack web developer + devops engineer with 6+ years' experience working in small teams and driving change. In my last role I brought a fintech product from 0 to EUR 300.000 in ARR while leading a small team. I have so far only worked in small teams that drive big change and have a product ownership mindset. Recently I've delved into functional programming with Haskell after working with Node.js/Python for the better part of a decade. I'm also a quick learner and having dealt with lots of technical debt in the past, I can get up to speed with any new technologies / codebases quickly.

I work best in IC capacity and I'm looking to join a fast/impactful team that needs to get things done. Thanks for reading!

Great post OP.

I myself took my type from ~65 wpm to 124 average wpm[1] in about 6 months as opposed to 1 year by OP by moving to zsa moonlander. If anyone wants I can share the journey in a post. But can definitely recommend improving your typing speed for all the reasons already outlined!

going through similar emotions while building, I wonder if the author’s attitude is aligned to the ‘fail rapidly’ adage. I go through the same, although I gave my landing pages a couple of weeks at least to garner feedback (no success so far). But whether it should be 2 weeks to give up on the project or 2 days is anybody’s guess imo.

> Does it also support braces? No :)

> the source is written as a long herestring and then executed that's correct but only for single file modules. you can actually have a python like structure comprising entirely of dopy files and it will be compiled in place or in temp dir and executed as a normal python package with distributed source

> Does it have the same speed than normal Python It's just a transpiler so the code is actually executed by the python interpreter itself. So same speed as python with an extra build step

> Does it support numpy, numba, other packages that use jit? Not now

> Can a function inside the modified... Certainly

> Is it possible to do something similar with a decorator instead of a herestring? Could you explain?

Recently, I watched a documentary in which some characters sat in the middle of the jungle next to a gushing stream, only to be spellbound by the croaking of toads—sometimes solitary, sometimes in unison—for hours on end. I wonder if there's a connection between the natural harmony of sounds and mental stimulation, or a sense of 'mental peace' in a certain mental state, which music taps into as well?

Speaking as someone totally new to music theory, I found it quite interesting to arrive at this question.

'Good documentation is a love letter you write to your future self' vibes anyone?

A true IDE layer for neovim.

The best part is that the developer(Folke) is very active with development and basically helping with all sorts of problems- the other day, I opened a pull request and it was resolved within hours..

Thank you Folke for the amazing work around neovim not limited to lazyvim.

He is such a beast. Have no idea how he manages to develop and maintain so many plugins.

The author fails to mention a super use case for lua which is celebrated by productivity nerds like myself - configuration.

I use neovim, hammerspoon which can be configured using lua richly. In a world of ever complicated software, I think lua is coming out as a gold standard for configuration files.

what's wrong with hoppscotch?
