How is UBO on Google Chrome different than Brave browser?

Context - I've used UBO on Google Chrome in the past and now using Brave browser for the last few years. I don't see much difference how web feels with UBO and Brave.

uBlock blocks ads while Brave deliberately shows you ads and gives you monopoly tokens.

I think that's opt in now:

> But if you choose to see Brave Ads, you can earn.

https://brave.com/brave-rewards/

Brave browser isn't necessarily blocking advertisements as much as it is blocking scripts that are naughty, and those naughty scripts are very popular in ads and ad networks.

And the Basic Attention Token concept is something I hope takes off since the current state of online advertising is pretty abysmal.

Brave ad blocker is not as good as UBO. You need to install UBO if you use brave.

I switched to Brave from Chromium + UBO. Despite seeing some ads, it's still comfier to use vanilla Brave than Chromium + UBO.

Saw Porsche Taycan with weird AC controls hidden deep inside the touch screen and a very un-intuitive UI. Honda did the same mistake and now have changed their decision and gone back to physical buttons. Hyundai realises it. Hope others follow the lead

Wow!

So sorry to hear that Matt. Stay strong and stay positive.

It could be as simple as this guy's -> http://ananthakumaran.in/resume.html

Phoenix uses Postgres by default and Postgres has been the go-to-database for many. When will Postgres on CloudSQL be available to all?

It already is! It's available in open beta for all customers, with a GA release coming in the near future.

Disclaimer: I work for Google Cloud

Pixelbook does not have a fan. Will that be okay? IDEs suck up a lot of resources and tend to heat up a lot. I was thinking about Pixelbook till someone raise this up. what's your opinion?

Using the Xiaomi Notebook 12 inch without a fan. Surprisingly, 4GB with 2 NVME drives is good enough for me. This is switching from xps 13 i7 with 8GB ram.

My one supports NVME in both slots so I don't know what other people on the internet who are saying the 12 inch doesn't support NVME are on about. I have the Kaby Lake version.

I have a 8GB swap which I guess is fast enough as its on the second NVME.

I would imagine the passive cooling ought to work well enough given the hardware they've put in it.

me too :)

Looks impressive!

I check HN every couple of hours. :P
