Google used to have a feature to suppress sites or domains from your personal search result. This was back in the day where any programming question would lead to a paywalled site like experts-exchange which was a frustrating experience so it was easy to block. I suppose google removed that feature because it messed with monetization possibilities in search, but it is another indication of the way that google has really deprioritized the quality of the search experience for the user.

It's amazing to me all these years later how true the lessons of "The Mythical Man Month" were. At the time reading the book in my Freshman Comp Sci course the book seemed so abstract. If anything though, it should be required reading for management, instead of developers.

Untappd is also weird because you know that the producers of some of these small brewery beers actually look at these checkins. A lot of the beer drinkers I know will prefer to not rate a beer instead of giving it a sub-3 rating.
