I got the SE 2 used, a year after it came out for a serious discount[1]. If that's something you're comfortable with, you can get a really good deal if you pay attention to what's posted on FB Marketplace.
More than anything, I'm most impressed by Apple's OS support. I'm pretty convinced that SE phones are some of the best deals in the industry if you keep them until they run out of support. They have the same guts (minus cameras) as tier 1 flagship phones. Apple is a bit tight with ram, but the processor is faster than any Android phone.
And the support - 7 years is standard right now, and it could very well go longer.

1. I think I paid $150 for it. It has a small crack in the screen, but just the part that's over the chin, not anything that affects the display. If I wanted a pristine phone, I'm sure I could have found one for a bit more. But after several years, I'm happy with my decision.
That's a cracking result! I'll definitely keep an eye out and hopefully the second hand market is healthy.
I think the SE never really turned any heads from the flagship causing the second hand market to be lively. With these new touted SEs, they're looking to be as good as iPhone 14 (maybe pros) which has a very wide reach.
I feel the problem with the way the UK builds apartments is just so unsatisfying. The ones built targetting the luxury demographic seem to be habitable and provide ammenities that a commuinity would have. Such as grassland and seperate outdoor space.
Outside of these the rest just don't provide actual living spaces. They seem to be thrown up without any care for quality of living.
Edit: I do agree with you, I just wish living in an apartment didn't feel so reclusive.
In addition to your points, having a net-migration of ~600K[0] and only ~255,000 homes being built[1] per year (March 2022-2023), we're getting stuffed. Barely enough supply to house the new people coming.
Probably a good thing as from my understanding there is an uncertainty whether a version of CSGO will exist. For example there are some old patch versions available from circa ~2013 which are still playable.
Not sure if that will be possible after the move to CS2. You would think so, but at the very least, "Kisak-Strike: Gentoo Offensive" will exist.
I'm not sure I understand this point. Can't you still play CS:Source and CS 1.6? Why wouldn't CS:Go keep operating. It may not get as many content updates but the core game should be able to keep going as long as Valve keeps the game servers running.
What utterly horrible minds in that comment thread. The justification that other bad things happen means we can reasonably create more evil is disgusting.
Joseph Weizenbaum once said to the question (paraphrasing) "If I don't develop evil/unethical thing Z, someone else will." with: "In city X every day there is rape and if I don't do it, someone else will." Showing how stupid this line of reasoning is.
Which is a different situation than the one with developing some technology. If someone develops faceswap, and then someone else develops it too, we won't have twice the amount of faceswap-badness.
edit: which is not to say that I think "if I don't do it, someone else will" is a good argument for doing something you disagree with..
It's not just that, they also lack reading comprehension skills. The initial comment could not be more clear that this tech has practically no positive use whatsoever, yet all the snarky "guess we should ban electricity" comments bring up things that have pretty obvious positive uses
Let's run this through Hanlon's razor...no one is suggesting that we "create more evil". They're simply suggesting that this technology is not inherently evil.
Whether it is evil or not, we can debate, but let's start by assuming good faith by all debate participants.
