I'm really quite sick of Google nowadays. I don't want any of this new stuff they have been introducing.

See the person's comment above about npm help.

Now I want a mac

limejs does that, but it uses google closure

I've seriously thought about surgically removing Closure from limejs. It uses a lot of Closure classes (i.e. Vector2) so it wouldn't be clean, but improving the build process would be worth it.

Are there any parts of the quake source code in here?

Pig and Hungry hungry hippo eh? Couldn't have put it better myself. So tired of seeing this crap foisted upon people who don't know any better. While I see the author's point about it being a bad thing for all users to be protected by the same antivirus software, I must say that MSE is the only antivirus software I've ever been comfortable using. I didn't use antivirus software for well over a decade, but MSE has such a small footprint and is so unobtrusive that it's now a question of 'Why not?'.

They have a lot of users to email, maybe it's coming? I still haven't anything either.

It's good to see Rose doing something new and I genuinely hope he is succesful.

It has full backward compatibility, but does it work?

yup, that is what "backward compatibility" stands for...

You're right, I've never heard of backward compatibility that didn't work flawlessly. I know very little of Java, but if the backward compatibility isn't perfect then I could understand why companies would be hesitant to upgrade.

the java bytecodes remain unchanged from jvm 5 to 6. The bytecode is all the jvm sees. Thus the backward compatibility does work almost perfectly. Also jvm 6 has been out for long enough now to have ironed out any potential issues if there existed any in the first place.

There have been regressions over the years. Just because it is intended to be backward compatible doesn't mean there aren't occasional bugs that can break an application running on top of the JVM.

Now if only they could get their multiple account sign-in feature polished. I use one Google account for Youtube, one for Google groups, and then my Apps account for email and plus. Why can't I set my preferred account for each service?

The day I went to Google.com and noticed I was signed in was the first sign of trouble. Why do I have to have my account used everywhere I go? I don't want you to log me in for searching when I check my email.

I would argue that you are probably the exception from the norm -- most users have only one account and would probably consider it a major inconvenience to have to log in multiple times across different Google properties.

Except they do have a multiple-accounts feature, so obviously it's important enough to support explicitly. I also hate the way it works. I have to use different browsers to have it work without irritation.

Hmm. Maybe there's a plugin.
