That's somewhat correct, although we have a bunch of stuff on the back-end that we're not quite ready to talk about yet :)

Not a pivot, just an experiment to see how people respond. Give it a whirl and let us/me know!

More than happy to give it a whirl. Can you elaborate on what you do with the data that's given? Do you store it permanently, how long do you keep it, who else gets to have it?

They use it to generate leads for products, store it indefinitely, and will ask permission before sharing it.

How are you dealing with the fact that even with a sponsor, there's only a 1 in 2-3 (unknown) chance that someone will actually get through the H1-B lottery this year?

I like to think you use some sort of machine learning - You feed it the first few profiles which you do by hand to give the learning some data to start on, then let the machine do its magic.

Teleborder - San Francisco, Full-time

We're hiring engineers (Ruby & JavaScript), designers, and sales development reps. Visas and green cards happily sponsored, and relocation fully covered from anywhere in the world.

Our mission is to bring free movement of labor to the world through technology. Right now, that means helping companies manage immigration, tax, and relocation for their expatriate employees. We grew our customer base 10x in 2014 and are looking to beat that in 2015. We're currently a tight-knit team of 13 and well funded by top tier investors, including YC (S13).

Thanks Jason! I'm one of the cofounders.

There seems to be a bit of confusion around our pricing in the comments below, so let me clear it up: we charge an average of $5,000 per visa application. The real fees range from sub-$2k for simple transfers all the way to above $10k for some green c cards. For simplicity, we (and the press) sometimes abbreviate this to "$5k per visa".

So far, customers haven't had a problem paying a slight premium to use us; what they pay out in cash they more than make back in time saved and employee happiness, and that's why some even told us we're cheap!

Join us for AI Startup School this June 16-17 in San Francisco!
