Forget not having degree, to get even an interview call, you need to be T20 alumni! Shows how execs are out of touch day to day operations of big companies.

This isn't true and hasn't been true for 20 years, if ever.

Maybe in the very beginning they had such a bar, I wasn't there. As late as 2007 they were still recruiting on-campus at non-T20 schools like Michigan State. Much of my team are from various Big Ten/similar universities that aren't top 20 but are solid (plenty are also from more prestigious universities, but unless you explicitly ask someone at lunch about their education no one ever talks about it). I've been involved in hiring and interviewing for 7+ years there and have done interviews with people from all caliber of school - top 10, middle of the pack US, HBCU, international - so there's no such requirement for that now either.

As part of a broad investigation into the risks of electric door handles, Bloomberg attempted to quantify for the first time the number of fatal crashes in the US in which door functionality played a role. This reporting turned up at least 15 deaths in a dozen incidents over the past decade in which occupants or rescuers were unable to open the doors of a Tesla that had crashed and caught fire.

Covid times provied that people can live without 50% of what they usually spend and majority of jobs will disappear if people do that. Most jobs are catering to people's overspending.

Or people’s overspending is propping up the economy

> Or people’s overspending is propping up the economy

Good thing people are still religious and have a god to worship and make sacrifices.

Hasn't this been known for decades?

> Covid times provied that people can live without 50% of what they usually spend and majority of jobs will disappear if people do that.

I don't think either of these things are remotely accurate lol

Uh it is specifically and exactly what it proved. It changed the entire planets awareness of needs and has since changed the direction of humanity.

Many don’t need to commute, purchase lunch food, shop downtown, buy commuter consumables etc. we do so because we have in the past. And I say this as a life long lover of the classic pre covid city life.

Now we discovered most people are content at home with some food, entertainment and a few hobbies. The rest of the consumption is a mix of boredom and ritual.

And more than half the population would be out of a job without that

My point is this isn't normal, this is representative of a small slice of (at least American) society: https://retailwire.com/discussion/wealthiest-us-households-s...

There is no such thing as normal, you're using the term morally. It simply was true for some segments, enough to make it real.

During the presentation, Rivian speaker specifically said it is safe for your camera sensors. Check the youtube video of their presentation

Ah. Theirs may be then. In which case they are probably using a different wavelength and a different glass.

I was just speaking in terms of the commonplace LIDAR solutions for road use.

Gen 3 autonomy platform will include 11 cameras, 5 radars and a front-facing LiDAR. It will be powered by RAP1—our in-house silicon. Gen 3 Autonomy Computer powered by RAP1 hits a peak of 1600 sparse INT8 TOPS and can process 5 billion pixels of sensor data. Every second.

measuring number of meetings seems deflection of actual output!

Following the Airbus A320 emergency airworthiness action, everyone will be talking about the ELAC (Elevator Aileron Computer) manufactured by Thales, which caused a sudden pitch-down without pilot input on JetBlue 1230 back in October.

So here’s everything you need to know about ELAC.

When you are driving in the night during heavy rainfall, good head light is difference between life and death. Get out of your bubble please!

And when your ridiculous LED lamps blind the oncoming driver on a corner during heavy rain and they crash into you, you wish weren't so selfish.

I guess it is more likely they crash into the car behind you or just run off the road themselves. Unfortunately being a selfish pays off most of the time.

This is correct. Freeways have lot of edge cases of hitting random objects and it becomes serious issue. Check the youtube video of bearded Tesla whose car hit a random metal object making them replace the entire battery pack.
