Holy crap! This is insanely awesome. I just tried out one of the courses and it's way easier to use this.

Out of the box - A/B testing, digital products delivery, course creation, upsells (including post-purchase), order bumps, subscription billing, paid blogging/ memberships, and more.

Our weakness right now against Shopify is we have less features on the physical product side - like 3PL integrations, but we're building those out as we see more people need them.

Hey guys! I'm one of the co-founders of Hyax along with Jack Paxton. I'm on the product side, so please let me know if you've got any questions about Hyax. Happy to answer them!

We call ourselves Shopify for digital creators. So we give you the ability to sell digital products / courses / memberships along with your regular eCommerce products.

To that end, we've built a pretty robust system for developing your courses & memberships and building out your ecommerce storefront.

This idea came to us when we realized that the space for ecommerce had several holes. Generally people use multiple plugins to solve these holes, but plugins are highly irregular and have security flaws.

We give you the ability to run marketing funnels along with your store, post-purchase upsells, order bumps. You can also sell subscriptions and set-up payment plans.

We also prioritize a beautiful looking UX and the ability to really customize your store.

Also A/B testing out of the box as well.

In essence, I built out the store that I wish I had as a marketer / entrepreneur.

Happy to take any questions =)

Why do you think you got accepted into YC? I'd love to check out your application.

tldr; Pricing is painful. Most companies leave it to chance and there's a real opportunity here to change that.

Courtland, this is absolutely fantastic. Congrats man!

I'm wondering how this works out for you as an entrepreneur. Obviously now you're working for a larger corporation, but does your long-term vision align? For example, is your deal structured in a way that growing indie hackers also personally grows your income? Or is it now just a strict employee-employer relationship with a bonus (acquisition offer) upfront?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think the deal benefits stripe as it acquires a good (and growing) user base.

For other companies looking to get into YC, what do you think were the main factors that helped you get into the accelerator?

You're so right. FB & Google doesn't work at all. Stop advertising on those sites, you're making my CPC go up.

Well said, except for the second sentence :)

Why don't Romanians just get remote jobs?

They come to Western Europe :) Last year I hired two Romanian developers here in The Netherlands, both were very good.

Do you believe it to be that easy to get a remote job, such that all Romanians can simply just "get" one?

It's not easy, but you can do it. Source: I'm Romanian and I work remotely. I found the job here in the monthly Who's Hiring thread.

My point was not "Romanians can't get remote jobs," but rather "It's not so easy to get remote jobs that all Romanians can simply get a remote job."

It's as easy or as difficult as getting any other programming job. The more you know your stuff and good English, the better the job you'll find.

Jobs grow on trees after all /s

I've noticed many of the dev marketplaces (even the more expensive ones) are dominated by international developers. It's definitely a popular path.

There's a lot of friction for both buying remote work and selling.

It has to be really worth the other party's time.

Not everyone can be a freelancer, that's one of the points behind the theory of the firm.

Technological advances can and have shifted the % of freelancers, but I doubt it will ever be near 100%.

I say that as both having been a freelancer, currently working semi-remote, and hiring freelancers (both locally and from India and Pakistan).
