Looks very cool so far. The landing page is clean and crisp. I look forward to signing up.

Before I do however, will you be using https for the signup process?

Hi, I am not the creator, but I do see it is using https for signup (and everything else).

Awesome. Was viewing this in iOS and for some reason it wasn't showing...

I'm not too sure they'd like it. In this post: http://chrome.blogspot.com/2011/03/talking-to-your-computer-..., the big G clearly states their speech recognition is beta. I've also seen on Stack Overflow responses from Google employees insisting the API shouldn't be used for commercial applications.

Best recommendation is to use Nuance's HTTP Api http://dragonmobile.nuancemobiledeveloper.com/public/index.p...

It's not free, but it's at least it's guaranteed for commercial use.

I don't work for Nuance, but my startup uses their products now - and the accuracy and speed are great. The documentation is pretty horrible, so feel free to reach out w/any questions on the program/usage/etc.

This. Is. Brilliant.

Except for the fact that Mike is no longer a part of TechCrunch or CrunchFund.

I thought Mike was still part of CrunchFund: http://www.crunchbase.com/financial-organization/crunchfund

Regardless, great hustle. Love seeing people willing to stick their neck out.

Mike left Techcrunch. Mike Started Crunchfund and also started blogging at http://uncrunched.com/

Where are you getting the information from that he is no longer part of CrunchFund?

From Mike's blog "ABOUT"

My name is Michael Arrington. I'm the founder of TechCrunch and a general partner at CrunchFund. This is my blog. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, CrunchBase and About.me."

When did he leave?

Pretty sure he IS crunchfund.

I like the background, but I'm with Kmarima. Should be just a couple of lines of copy.

Should answer: who you are, what you do, and why you're better than everyone else in a sentence (or two at most)

So I'm not quite sure who it's for from the homepage, and further - I am confused as to how brownies equate to buying expensive things at first glance. When I opened the homepage my first instinct was to get home delivered brownies on a regular basis.

I'd guess every single one of the target customers know the term 'brownie points'.

I was born in US, and had no clue what brownie points were. You should remove that term, or explain it. It's just very confusing.

Also, the concept seems a bit flawed.... not sure the demand will be there.

I like a site with gift ideas. I recommend changing this to a destination site with gift ideas and ways to buy them

You've never heard of the term "brownie points"? Are you from outside of the US?

I'm from the US and know the term. I was merely giving a first glance impression. This is all very relevant to conversion... Even on the homepage.

Perhaps the wording on the submit button is what's throwing me off. Something more explanatory like "View our gifts", etc. that would help drive the point home to the visitor about what clicking that button will actually do.

I agree with changing text on the button, "View gift selection" makes a lot of sense.

Brownie points come from the Girl Scouts (aka Brownies) and are associated with the stamps received for good deeds.

As far as I know brownie points and actual cake brownies have nothing in common.

Thanks knes - I've seen the dropbox.com videos, but never soluto or evernote.

Yes, only looking at "take a tour" pages. We've solidified our landing page, contact page, plans & pricing... need to put together the "magical" tour page. Tour rather than features page seems to break down idea of functionality vs. usability, and the suggestions you provided are good starters.

*More information - we're selling a business product, and we all agree to like the following tours: http://highrisehq.com/tour/ http://optimizer.builtwith.com/tour.aspx

Other good examples are welcome! Thanks guys!
