I set up a service to make hosting those apps as seamless as possible while giving the user control of their data and also sharing revenue with authors to keep projects sustainable. Check it out here:

I use your site and it rules! Thanks for building it. Was scrolling to see if someone was gonna mention it. Such a great idea and great execution

Looks cool! Thanks for commenting!

In strength training 'programming' means the details of your workout plan. Like how many sets, reps and exercises.

Also got into making children's books with AI. Midjourney mostly. Has been fun, but my son is running out of ideas. Good thing chatgpt is fairly creative, once you give it the right persona.

Came here to say this is great and already did 2 books. My son loved it.

Thank you!!

German speaker in Portugal. :-)

That's awesome. Just did one.

haha, it's the ultimate uno reverse card. Did it work? There are some known issues with German titles on the Cover page, sorry if you've encountered that. I'm trying to improve it.

Also works well in vscode. Just wish the remote instance would keep running forever. Currently it's only a few hours it seems. Then one needs to reopen the workspace window.

I don't use code editors, but when we had an issue with ssh sessions hanging, it was always coworkers that were using vscode and connecting something up with that.

Man, just ssh through the terminal like a normal person and transfer files with git.

"Man, just put it on tape and walk over to that machine to load it there".

Sorry, I know such low-effort puns are shunned on HN, but once in a decade I grant myself the permission to not resist.

Given my experience with the vscode remote instance, that actually sounds terrible as it can get bloated very quickly. The instance state can and should be retained without running the instance indefinitely.

In Bookstack organized by department. Simple to update and put access controls on it.

As others have mentioned, this needs to be a living document and the person doing the task needs to update the docs where needed. No tool can replace this, but Bookstack at least makes it easy.

Those are some great ideas for Prometheus alert rules. If they aren't already added here: https://samber.github.io/awesome-prometheus-alerts/

Been doing the same with Anki and Obsidian. E.g. via https://github.com/ObsidianToAnki/Obsidian_to_Anki

Using it for languages and IT certs mainly. I wouldn't want to manage flash cards separately, so getting them from notes is great. Nice to see something more polished and mainstream for this workflow.

Thank you. I'll keep polishing the UX :)
