There are a ton of beta tests ahead of release, I think it's always prudent to keep up to date very quickly. This seems to be the top security expert recommendation.

For the "live free" state they sure do take away a lot of freedoms.

That's New Hampshire. Common mistake.

Texas' state motto is "Friendship".

In Texas, Friends are people there when you need them, and politely distant, minding their own business when you don't.

Whom "you need" is referring to there is a perennial topic of conversation, and is generally a reliable seed of spirited dialectic.

Can you provide sources that support your position?

Texas keeps trying to ban abortion every which way it can. It is also trying to make voting more difficult instead of more convenient. This has been all over the news in the past year; sources aren't needed to support well-known facts.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to need more than anecdata.

a search engine is your friend especially for something as easy to find like this. save your requests for someone to provide links for the much more difficult to locate (much more supsect).

We get really upset about drunk driving. Smoking indoors and in particular around kids. We're going to get similarly mad unvaccinated people taking others down with their Darwin Awards.

The worst part is most of the people covid takes down have already reproduced, disqualifying them from Darwin Awards.

Note he fires them while supporting the union movement Solidarity in Poland. Totally sick. The beginning of the capitalist destruction of democracy.

The destruction of an entire union by a former union president (Screen Actors Guild). That's some irony for you.

It's odd to equate supporting Solidarity in Poland with the destruction of democracy. I seem to recall the effect was in the other direction.

More like its revival as an "open" movement, which had been operating somewhat quietly behind the scenes since the early 20th century.

Poland was yet another proxy activity pushing back the Soviets and communism. As Regan showed, it's never about the workers.

Don't think this is true. From wikipedia it seems like this was a pretty straightforward dispute over pay and conditions.

I misread the GP comment that way too.

IIUC, GP says that Reagan is inconsistent: firing US air-traffic controllers on strike, but supporting foreign workers on strike.

Home ownership is now very liquid. People buy/sell/move very easily. Foreign ownership is huge and as mentioned, money laundering is now rife in realestate. Prices in London are estimated to be 10% higher due to laundering. I'm sure that it's much higher in higher priced homes...for a while.

Bill Gates was a destructive businessman. His philanthropy is tied up in his "power" world view. The way the press fawns over his every word is nauseating and a part of this power dynamic. We worship the rich.

yes, he was. But, now, he isn't. He isn't at the helm of MS any more.

I think having got to a certain place with a big caveat, what he and Melinda Gates are choosing to do with the pile of money, is better than what other people (Bezos, Musk) are doing with the money. Even Bezos' ex-wife is doing better things with her share of the money.

The caveat is that I am told, the Gates often require you to use Microsoft IT to do whatever thing you're doing.

Sufficient DL frameworks are now in the cloud and it is mostly an engineering problem.

Endless. Eat well, cut carbs, fast now and then, exercise AF. The rest is a prayer.

The computer has become a commercial ad delivery device. No doubt. These days work on my computers makes me feel like I'm in AdOps optimizing their ad delivery to me.

brilliant
