This works great, until some nation state adversary wants to shut down the entire US infrastructure. Or even better some script kiddy decides that it would be fun to feel powerful
And they won't care about if companies pay ransome or not.
Treat the cause of the sickness, not the symptoms.
I believe Waymo works better in a pre scanned area, where there are no construction sites or major changes, but in a general context you can atleast attempt to use Autopilot, which you can't with Waymo. Thus I would not say that Waymo is miles better.
