canon is also a great choice because the ef mount is larger than most other dslr and it can fit pretty much every dslr lens that exists (vintage and new) without the need for an expense adapter that has optical elements. You can even 3d print them

Between Nikon and Canon, the choice comes down to taste and personal preferences. Both are equally good. Same goes for mirrorless between Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm or Panasonic. Whatever you pick, it is not wrong or a mistake.

Almost everyone I met (incl me when I was younger) who think that way never realized just how much food obese people eat at home. It's wayyy more than you think. They never tell the truth about it out of shame because they know how bad it looks to others.

Even at my maximum weight I was most definitely not eating like this. The idea that every obese person is just slamming junk food down their gullet is just false and needs to die.

One extra rich tea biscuit a day (100kcal) is 10lbs in a year. You don't know what you are talking about.

That’s assuming perfect conversion of energy to body fat. That’s never the case due to losses, and everybody is _vastly_ different:

> In response to 84 days of 1000 kcal/day of overfeeding, 12 pairs of monozygotic twins gained on average 8.1 kg, but the range was from 4.3 to 13.3 kg.

Your arithmetic does not support the use of the word vastly. It only diverges by mine on the line above by 25%.

> 4.3 to 13.3 kg

That’s not a vast range? It means some people gain more than they „should“, and some less than half of the caloric intake.

It’s also not „my“ arithmetic btw.

Apologies. Though my statement holds with s/Your/That/.

My original response was to a comment suggesting that overweight and obese people get home and eat 15 chocolate bars. My observation, supported by your additional evidence, is that a small imbalance has a substantial cumulative effect.

The study was with 12 pairs of identical twins. Variation of 25% in IDENTICAL TWINS suggests that variation among genetically different individuals is probably going to be much larger.

You can see the videos on tiktok. Each individual meal is actually pretty reasonable, but each one should be the main meal of the day. Having several per day (plus high calorie but healthy snacks such as nuts) is what cause the problem.

My guy, i do those things.

edit: parent comment was edited to remove the examples of eating behaviors they believe are the cause of fatness. Their examples were all things that I as a naturally skinny person do or have done regularly.

It depends what you're talking about. Especially as people age, it doesn't always take as much as you'd think.

> this is why I will never get behind socialized healthcare...I'm not footing the bill for the increasing number of people who push these beliefs

Sadly, the US is paying as much per capita for healthcare as countries with free healthcare. A private system costs a lot more to run even when they are managed by people with good intentions.

When I hear that in the US health insurance can cost upwards of $1000 a month, I really think something is severely broken in the system there.

In the Netherlands it costs around 150 with good services. In Spain it's free but no way the tax expenditure is that high because most people don't even make much more than 1000 euro.

A grand sounds a bit high. I have a family of 4 and can't remember ever paying more than 400 a month. Granted, my employer picks up part of the tab but that's just how it works in the US (and it's dumb).

Except that you can't recreate them. At least not without a process that would be similar to asking an artist to create a replica of a painting. Just because photoshop has the right color palet available to recreate art, it doesn't mean the software itself is one big massive copyright infrigement against every art piece that exist.

Past a certain level of overfitting you can definitely recreate them just by asking for them by name. And it's possible to unintentionally or even intentionally overfit.

So it would be quite easy to make a trademark laundering operation, in theory.

With pow, the cash you burn on that mining farm is gone after you give up on your vote or your attack. With PoS, the simple act of being rich means you get more vote, you don't need to burn it or spend it. You even get richer while you do it

If you fail to validate with the network consensus in PoS you quite literally burn your money. That's sort of the whole point.

YouTube alternatives sound great until you actually try them.

The best exemple is when youtubers leave for reasons related to monetization. They always came back when they foud out that not only do other platform don't pay them (without a pay wall) but good platform will actually charge them for the hosting. finding your own ads is also really fucking hard when google isn't doing it for you.

Free unlimited 4k@60 video hosting is a hard to beat when users are extremely hostile to paying for thing they used to have for free (look at the feedback from. Youtube premium)

They would just charge people 27% more like every other tax.

they'll only do it if the US government allows them to.

Like it or not, if they go against three-letter-agencies in the US, high ranked apple employees will spend years in jail based on the rulings of secret courts where all of your rights are irrelevant. The moment the cia says the word "terrorism", all your rights are gone regardless of how wrong the investigators might be. They can literally declare you guilty without you even knowing you were were accused of anything because according to them, national security is more important than the constitution.

they are on the same level as the ccp

> they'll only do it if the US government allows them to.

This is a warning that someone is trying to gain unauthorized access to your account. If the US government wants access it probably has better methods than brute force, such as ordering Apple to hand over your stuff.

There's a difference between a warrant with a gag order and noticing that someone is trying to hack into a user's account.

I see no reason to think Apple will want to stay silent about an attacker trying to hack a user's account just because they might stay silent about warrants with gag orders.

You think I'm taking about BS gag orders or NDA agreements....

When we're talking CIA, you can't get your way out of it with a better lawyer of by paying a fine. It's a decade of jail waiting for you if you don't bend over and give them exactly what they want. You have no constitutional rights when it comes to national security. they are legally allowed to kill US citizens without having to get court approval if they think they are a threat to the nation.

Are you talking about the CIA demanding something from Apple and ordering Apple to stay silent? Or are you talking about Apple detecting an attempt to hack a user's account? Those are 2 different things.

You seem to be talking about the first, whereas the support page is about the second.

> they are on the same level as the ccp

Nonsense.

Proof?

land is the one thing almost never goes down because we can't create more of it. for almost every other aspect of our lives, they are alternative solution to the problem but you can't create more land. Building vertical to increase density is only kicking the can down the road in a context where the humain population is always increasing.

Well, apparently worldwide population will peak sometime and then slowly fall. The mitigating factor being that it probably won't happen in most of our lifetimes yet. That said, some countries might experience their population plateauing sooner than others. So perhaps if we kick the can down the road for a while longer, it will indeed have been enough.

> That said, some countries might experience their population plateauing sooner than others

And all of these countries (except japan/Switzerland) are planning to bring more immigrants in to make sure the population is always increasing faster. Something that most people in first world countries don't realise is that the entire population of their country is smaller than the number of millionaires in china+india. Even if all if america+EU became sterile, there would still be enough foreigners to buy more unit and push the bubble further if they open borders. And they would, because the entire economy depends on it.

>n real estate creates nothing of value to society and instead serves only to artificially drive up the cost of shelter

And yet there is literally millions of people begging for a opportunity to get a unit in large/rich cities. If there was no value to it, why does everyone cares so much about living there?

If you truly believe what you say, than you better never ever complain about home prices. Paying 100$/ft² for a massive modern house in a shithole place is an option that is always there for you if you think location doesn't matter. But let me guess... you want to live in [insert big city near your location] but people richer than you also want to and they priced you out
