Abuse by F-bombing isn't just about professionalism, it's part of a posturing, adulation-seeking personality that aspiring devs and infosec hackers think they have to adopt. I admire Torvalds for all that he's accomplished. He doesn't have to behave like this, he chooses to. Not cool.

It's posturing, but it's not adulation seeking. He is calling attention to bad code and bad behavior, highlighting it as an example of what NOT to do. If he had used nice, professional corporate speak, he probably wouldn't have been able to call nearly as much attention to the problems.

Even assholes serve a useful social function sometimes.

Also, let's stop calling it "abuse". If you can't weather a few F-bombs then you wouldn't have survived a typical American schoolyard, let alone a high-intensity workplace where shit has to get done.

Maybe you have a point. But personally speaking, I am not sure I want my work environment to turn in to highschool

What do infosec hackers have to do with this? We're not all f-bomb droppers who go around insulting everyone.

Or perhaps he doesn't choose to but has a mild Asperger's.

CRD is a nice plugin. Not sure how useful remote desktop on a phone screen is but for really basic things i guess we'll see.
