It rely on the CSS3 transition instead of the jQuery animate function ..

To go into more detail, I believe CSS animations will be faster because they are built into the browser, as opposed to calculating animation effects in a Javascript interval.

Exactly!

Perhaps if the page instantly jumped to the top, it make the user confused for a bit moment, so here where the animation make a sense!

Look at it this way, it's globally over writing use preferences. This should at lowest, be a browser feature.

For anyone curious, chrome://flags has a smooth scrolling option to try. There's also browser plugins that do this. For macs this is system behavior right?

Good answer, Thanks!

I think because the CSS3 hardware accelerate, and this is a good point for this trick!

Good point mfincham, I'll keep this in mind, Thanks!

Thanks for your questions, and this is the answers :)

When you click on the 'codecanyon' URL, you found on the right sidebar, more information, like Compatible Browsers .. Also on the description I say how to use it .. This plugin come with a nice documentation contain a simple implementation that explain how to make this awesome hover effect, and much more .. I try to do my best for the support .. For the question of use 2 images, unfortunately, this plugin is designed for just one image, but it's easy to develop it, it's commented too :)

I think the GP was offering advice to you, not just wanting to know the answers to the questions. I also had the same questions when I visited the page, and didn't notice any other links. You might want to think about changing your page to make this information more obvious. Or don't -- but at least run some A/B tests to find out for sure.

Best of luck.

Okay, I add a note :)

For a new interactive experience on the web :)

Nice example, this is what I mean by "I make the contents of an image change for really!!" ..

As I say, this plugin bring some images functions to the web, no need to PS :)

Yes, this is the idea of this plugin, it doesn't use two different images, just one :)
