Do you think it is in any world fair to steal a car from someone who has done nothing to you?

Fair? No. Grounds for executing someone? Absolutely not.

Is this not exactly what was meant by "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants"? We treat government like a monument to be preserved for posterity, but it is not. Government is a living thing and it follows a cycle of growth and decay that eventually requires culling, just like any other form of life.

Yes, there's no direct land route for Taiwan's allies to use, but the same is true of Chinese forces trying to get onto the island. Their supply routes may be shorter than Taiwan's, but they are just as vulnerable. Both sides are likely to suffer a majority of their losses just trying to supply their troops, and the effectiveness of submarine warfare against enemy shipping and air superiority against enemy airlifts will determine victory in the long run. So long as the West maintains superior submarine and carrier fleets, they offset the longer supply lines. If China catches up in either or both of those areas, the advantage of shorter supply routes starts to tilt in their favor.

Next thing you know, they'll start putting barcodes on their military vessels...

There's quite a lengthy article there. It sounds like you might have a connection problem.

One could also argue that the courts and/or government are tilted in favor of one false narrative over the other, and thus refuse to investigate or hear arguments against their chosen channels.

I'm not arguing that this is or is not true, but the argument you're making here is not philosophically different from "if they were bad people then bad things would happen to them; since bad things aren't happening to them they must not be bad people". The reality is that bad people escape punishment all the time, especially when their bad actions benefit the people who should be responsible for punishing them.

Yes, but where does the US launch them? China can launch a swarm of these from the Pacific and guarantee they'll overfly the US and Canada due to the jetstream. Where can the US military launch a counterswarm that won't have to overfly a bunch of other countries with unaligned military strategies? All that does is create a negative diplomatic situation with those countries, and they'll likely shoot them down before they reach China.

Thank you for providing some local perspective. These things don't just happen in a vacuum but it can be hard to discern the threads that got us here without eyewitness accounts.

If I had to be somewhere at 5:30 am on a Friday morning, it had sure better be a church, because God help you when I find the person who came up with that schedule!

If you live in an area with a craft brewery scene, ask them about which night of the week is slowest. Offer to host an event... trivia, board games, a hobby meet up, whatever you are interested in... you can even make it a destination for a running or biking club... on that night. They'll usually be happy to advertise it in order to get a few more people in on the "dead" night and you'll have a regular place to go to indulge something you enjoy while meeting new people.

I've done this twice at two different breweries and at this point the groups are self-sustaining with Facebook & Discord groups managed by other group members.
