everything depends on the laws in your country, where do you live ? what day job do you have ? how do you spend your free time ? do you have access to a legal advisor ?

I'm still a student with three semesters ahead of me, and I'm in Portugal.

I don't know much about Portugal, but every country I seen so far have something called sole proprietor type of business: it is usually single guy doing some work and filling taxes by himself.

Too much trouble - go Bitcoin.

I don't know about Portugal, but in the UK one of the big reasons to start a company is to get limited liability. If someone successfully sues your company, that's bad - but if you don't have a company then they'll sue you and take all your possessions, like your house - much much worse. Bitcoin does absolutely nothing to avoid that scenario. (IANAL etc).

I am wondering about Spain, but I assume the liability aspect is the same in all european countries?

no each European country has its own laws and even EU directives can vary widely as to how they are applied compare TUPE in the UK and Spain

What makes you think that?

Using bitcoin will only have the effect of restricting the OP's potential number of customers, with no effect whatsoever on the OP's liability if the laws of the country are violated.

So if the risk analysis fails I'll get to see a captcha PLUS the new cool check box !, nice.

I used AdSense on my Facebook App inside iFrames (which was the only way to do it back then in (2009->2010) I made around $2k to $4k monthly, got banned a couple of weeks before the payout cycle, I contacted them and filed two appeals, both were rejected and no reason was given besides that I wasn't complying with the rules, that was back in 2010'ish as I recall, right after Facebook forced the approved list of advertisers (Adsense wasn't in the list)

I hardly think apple or any company are dumb enough to name their backdoor publicly nsagate as a subdomain to their company's domain, it's probably some kind of service, since apple prefixes lots of things with NS (NextStep), it could also be initials for a billion other words, see http://www.acronymfinder.com/NSA.html

However, if it were for Next Step A:

> Ping request could not find host nsbgate.apple.com.

They also had salt.apple.com and pepper.apple.com. And still functional: apple.apple.com

well I guess it doesn't stand for next step a, or they didn't need any more names than 'a' and never went for 'b' ;)

Also it could be "Next Step Administration", "Next Step Access", etc.. there are a billion possibilities, I'm not saying apple doesn't give access to NSA, they surely do, but I'm saying they obviously won't do it this way ;)

Aw darn I accidentally wrote cancer instead of HIV, and i know why you wouldn't call them liars, but please watch the part at 9:15 and try not to laugh your ass off, this equipment they "invented" is the ADE651 bomb detector scam. hope I've clarified why I'm calling them liars, also, ahram.org is government run and is equivalent to Fox news, don't take it seriously !

Sorry It's in arabic, but he explains the method as follows "We feet the patient Aids like it's Kebab, and that is a scientific miracle"

And he goes on thanking every single person in the military for the rest of the session.

Damn I wish i had time to translate all of that !, it's hilarious !

Consider this, what if the title was "Google sponsors over $150k of grants for male programmers" ?

Then it would've been sexist. Did no one tell you being a white straight healthy male is a crime?

Life isn't fair. People are born into random circumstances outside of their control that vastly affect the quality and direction of their life. Sociey has developed in an imperfect fashion, and has many issues. These problems are complex, and there is no silver bullet. Some people are trying to create a positive impact, and hopefully make things a little better. Meanwhile, you sit here bitching about "reverse discrimination". What is your better solution?

How about "Google sponsors over $150k of grants for programmers with most open source contributions" or "Google sponsors over $150k of grants for programmers that win an online hackaton for newbies" or "Google sponsors over $150k of grants for programmers with best school grades or most impressive hobby projects"?

Don't they do many of these types of things? I highly doubt this is is their only grant. Also, how do you determine what is too much and too little to put towards a certain issue? Seems a little presumptuous.

Exactly ;), that's why I'm always hiding from the world behind my screens !

I was just going to say the same thing then caught your link, thanks for the catch ;)

I don't think using your personal phone as a presentation device is the best idea, you can avoid most of those issues by simply having another device to present your app on, a used iPhone, or even iPod will be very cheap to get, no one will see that hardware anyway.

This way you'll avoid the wallpaper, calls, browser history, airplane mode, etc.. it'll be basically always configured for presentation mode, and you can also use it for development and as a backup phone !, fuck me right ?! :D
