I just went through this process and it seemed like a scam. After registering I got a sales call where they pushed the $300 package, suggesting that it would take over a month to get set up with Apple if I did not purchase it. When I refused, they had the audacity to say I should reconsider purchasing when I could afford it.
I registered on iupdate.dnb.com and only paid $50 to expedite the request for a DUNS number. The entire process was complete in a week and we were approved by Apple.
thanks! I tried implementing an area to slide over the keyboard, but the touch events of the keys were always getting priority. I'll try out some different methods and see if I can get it to work in a way that will get approved by Apple.
I like the idea of the acceleration controlling cursor speed, I'll try it out and see how it feels.
After I get it to a place that feels good, I'll either release it as a component that can be dropped in, or open source it.
It takes a few tricks, but it is possible to attach a gesture recognizer to the keyboard window in an App Store-compatible fashion: https://github.com/rpetrich/SelectWithSwipes
IMHO you should credit the author of that video. While your work is amazing and you should be praised for your achievement, you should also make it clear about your inspiration.
Awesome job, I'll install it as soon as it hits the App Store
very much agree. apart from anything else, the inspiration is so obvious that if you don't credit you're basically just asking for a fight. and if you get it in the app store he might even be in a position to hit you with a DMCA takedown. my guess is it wouldn't happen, but why take the chance when all you have to do is give credit where credit's due? it's the right thing to do anyway.
Former United States Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff supports it.
"Chertoff has been an advocate of full body scanners at airports. In 2010 he admitted that a client of his security firm, the Chertoff Group, is Rapiscan Systems, one of the two manufacturers of this technology."
Smalltalk and Lisp gray-beards must wet their pants every time they read up on Android. It's pretty much the epitome of a clean, extensible, user-oriented system. Fast, open, garbage collected, gorgeous and just clean. How on earth did they get some many things right, out of the box?
Agreed. Instead of getting users to better results and having them click through to the site, Google Instant seems to want the user to keep asking different questions until the answer is available in page title and abstract that Google presents.
we've been considering adding flights as a feature, what would be the easiest way to enter your destination: flight#, airport code?
